Sexymouse- I really want a girl too, but certain I am having a boy which is why (PG logic?) I purposely didn't find out as I don't want to deal with the possible disappointment yet, IYKWIM. Nothing against boys I jsut don't know what to do with one and DDs cousin (boy) is a bit of a handful (mind u so is she) so just worried about how I would cope. Also me and my bro used to fight like cat and dog (literlly) until I moved out, but I got on loads better with my baby sister (17 months between me and bro and 7 + years with me and sis).
For hayfever several doctors have advised me you can take piriton stuff (the one that makes u drowsy) but not to take too often. Ive been on a nasal spray since MArch for persistent colds and that seems to have held off hayfver so far (I usually suffer March to October), with DD it was horrendous. You can get vaseline type stuff to put up your nose to stop the pollen touching you, but didnt work for me as it made me sneeze when applying.
I think we have a wasps nest, have had 5 in the kitchen so far this morning, driving me mad. Can't see where they are coming from.
I think I have pregnancy rage, yesterday I flew off the handle because my mum was late coming over which meant I couldn't go to Asda for nappy bargains before taking DD to a party, I just wanted to cry and that made me really mad! DH sulked yesterday because he didn't get to spend enough time with DD yesterday because mum and dad then brought round some nappies and wipes for us and stopped for a cuppa so he hid in the garden, usually I let him get on with it but it really got to me yesterday and I told him to get over himself. He's still in a mood now and irritating me, if he didn't choose to remove himself from the company of others I would have more sympathy with him.
Just occured to me I only have 24 days left at work- eek! I have so much to do!
Hope everyone else is good and enjoying the weather, hoping for a BBQ but doubt it will happen today, may have to try and be nice now!Boots: £107.xx on AC :j

Thanks again ladies. Talked through my feelings with Moon more last night before we went to a friend's house for dinner so I think he understands now more where I was coming from, rather than thinking that I'm just throwing a strop. I did have a bit of a strop with him this morning though, as we were discussing his paternity leave, and he mentioned that he may go into work for a couple of days of it if they needed him to - I told him in no uncertain terms that if he did, I'd be off to my Mother's and that would be it as he should be prioritising his family over work, and that he had a legal right to have that time off, and they couldn't possibly do anything to make him go in. I also told him that I thought it would be a good idea if he turns his mobile off during that time period too so they can't contact him, as 15 week's notice is plenty of time to make sure they have things in place for whilst he's away (it's not as though they haven't really had longer anyway as he told them quite early on that I was pregnant). I'm hoping that'll be the last time I hear that suggestion being mentioned from now on.
Decided to order our cotbed from Babies r Us with the 20% off but the one we want plus the bedding etc (it's all in the deal for £199.99) is out of stock, so can't order it.On a plus note though, I have managed to order a baby sleeping bag that matches the bedding, as well as the MAM starter bottle set that we wanted to get with the 20% off, and hopefully we'll be going to our nearest store to pick them up today (fingers crossed as the 20% ends today and you have to pay on collection). We have friends coming over with their baby boy today (I think he's 6 months old now, but they live quite a way away from us so we've not seen them for quite a while), and I'm bidding on something on ebay, so I'm hoping that we win it, and can collect that as well as the baby stuff from Toys r us in the same journey before the friends arrive at 4.30pm. If I've not heard from the store soon, I'm going to call them to see if I can just come in and buy the things off the shelf, as it says they are in stock there.
So sad to hear your news about your friends gtotech - that's so awful! Happy due date anyway, and hope baby arrives when you're feeling more ready for it.
fluffnutter the gems from your MIL made me realise why I don't tell mine anything - we're not going to tell her the sex, as I don't want her continually comparing our baby to Moon's brother (the youngest golden child, who is an absolute merchant banker) before it's even born, as she is prone to always only talking about his babyhood rather than Moon's anyway!
Well I suppose I'd better go and get myself into the shower so I can start tidying up the place before our friends come over. I'm not sure how mobile their baby is, but in my experience, any friends who've come over with their children previously have always managed to find the one thing that hasn't been baby-proofed. These friends have also never been to our house before, so I'm keen to make a reasonable impression, even if it isn't perfectly tidy.
Hugs to all who need or want them, and labour vibes where appropriate.

Rjh thanks for the asda tip, they must have different reductions in different stores, but I got 6x pampers wipes for £3....bargain
got the last 3 boxes.....we're up to a stash of 46 packs of wipes now from various offers/coupons etc, hopefully that should last a while!!
Really knackered just walking to Asda and back,(and around the store obviously) it's only 5mins each way, I never realised just how much effort carrying around an extra 2 1/2 stone would be....definitely an incentive to try hard to lose weight after baby comes, I'm well and truly fed up of struggling to get up/sit down, carry things, roll over in bed....looking forward to a few months time and (hopefully) not feeling like a new species of whale!!0 -
I think they are store specific. Check again tomorrow cos I got loads cheap after baby event had officially ended last timelove you lots like jelly tots0

Sexymouse you can use the babies r us 20% offer instore hun you just need to print the coupon off from the babies r us homepage
Sorry you didn't manage to order the cot set. It was the jungle one you were after wasn't it? It must have been really popular with it being such a good deal. Maybe look instore and see if they have it too x
Fluffnutter - your mil would hate me, I have no belly button just a dimple after a few too many operations.
I can't get to Asda to stock up on wipes etc but I am hoping they run another baby event in a couple of months. I've got 13 packs of wipes already so have plenty of time to stock up a bit more.
All my family keep telling me to not buy newborn sizes because I'm going to have a massive baby. Wish they would shut up about it. I wasn't a big baby and neither was my OH. I was long so maybe that's what they mean but I've bought a couple of bits anyway. I told them I would rather have a few newborn sizes in just incase than the baby look drowned in something way too big so I bought the Aldi vests and body suits in newborn.
Also getting grumpy about people asking when we find out what we are having. Haven't got a date for my 20 week scan yet and I'm 20 weeks on WednesdayYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Just got the email through to say I can collect the toys r us stuff now. Have printed off the voucher, so just waiting to see if we win the ebay item at 3.15 and then we can plan around that too to save wasting a journey over for one thing and then having to go back another day for the other.
ikkle is it worth calling the hospital to check about your scan or asking midwife to on your behalf? It may be that the appointment card has got lost in the post, so may be worth a try especially as you're already so close to 20 weeks. Do you want to find out what sex you're having or is just other people who want to know? Yes it was the jungle set we wanted. Never mind, the baby isn't due til September and there may be another voucher code or something nearer the time yet.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Hello everyone!
She's great!
I'm a bit sore. More details when we get home x0 -
SM - I have a consultants appointment tomorrow anyway so will see what they say. When I was under Harrogate and District they planned to do the scan and consultant appointment on the same day so I'm not sure if it's the same here in Leeds or not. Will find out tomorrow and if the consultant knows nothing about it I will ring the midwife when I get home to chase it up. We would like to find out too as we still have a few clothes to buy and would like to buy a few gender specific items.
Alizee she is absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations. I love that sleep suit toox
