Hi All,
well I have had an exciting day today, our bees swarmed. That's what happens when I don't check on them. Apparently there have been quite a few swarms today because the weather has been so bad recently keepers haven't been able to look inside and now it is nice weather they have decided to swarm.
Feel a bit disappointed because we don't know if there is a virgin queen in there or whether we are still waiting for one to emerge. Swarm has been donated and is healthy just deciding whether to squish the queen cells or let nature take its course and risk another swarm. Hmmmm
As for gender disappointment SM. Last time with the twins I really wanted girls, had the perfect names etc and was a little miffed when told they were boys. Within hours I was over it and planning what we were going to do with boys etc.
This time I really wanted a boy and we have been told we are having a girl. All the names I dreamt of have disappeared out of my head but sure I will get over it quickly too. Don't feel guilty, LO isn't going to know and you will love him just as much as if he were a girl.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

just caught up now - BOYS ARE SO MUCH EASIER THAN GIRLS!
i have a girl of 8 (going on 18) and they are sooooo catty! definitely not quite as forthcoming with the snuggles as boys. My son (aged 3) is definitely a handful to keep occupied, but hes so chilled and will just go with the flow, and will give out kisses at the drop of a hat! having a little man this time too and we are so excited.0 -

Everyone tells me boys are more loving. I was speaking to a girl in Costa, with twins (boy & girl - about 10 months) and the whole time the girl whinged and the boy was just all smiles and she said jokingly obviously "I wish I had 2 of him"The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
It's the opposite in our family - 7 girls who are all loving and nice and snuggly and 2 boys who are little terrors unless poorly and then my cousin Bradley will sit on my knee asking me to tickle him to sleep lol xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I am from a family of all girls and can deal with them but we are all the same person.
Keep looking at teenage girls (not like that) and worrying what LadyBoyd will be like and dreading it. They are just so catty and clicky, I wasn't like that and don't know how I would advise. At least with boys I could blame OH and tell him to deal with it.
I will now also have to do the puberty talk which OH was going to have to do. All these things running about in my head.Need to stop thinking

My OH is sulking with me. I really wanted a wrap with chicken goujons in, plastic cheese and thousand island dressing. There was 6 goujons in a pack so I made him one too and he's sulking because he wants more because it was nice lol. He keeps telling me he's not my friend
and telling me to go to Sainsburys for more goujons lol x

Thanks for the welcome everyone!
I am getting a bit more out of breath these days – 30 weeks now. Just getting around a bit more difficult. Generally very well in my first pregnancy but I get pain at the base of my spine where it goes into my bum after sitting down for a while at work. It gets worse in the afternoon but don't think there's much I can do about it as my job as an editor requires me to sit down for long periods.
I finish work in just under 6 weeks and am really looking forward to it, although I think it will be a bit strange to be home all day. I'm hoping baby doesn't come too early but also not too late! One of my colleagues had her first baby a couple of years ago and she'd only just gone on maternity leave when baby decided to come. So of course she went on maternity leave early for second baby and he didn't come early!
Re. indigestion I find not eating large meals in the evening helps. Better to have smaller meals or more snacks throughout the day. One time a few months ago I had such bad indigestion I was crying with the pain, but since altering my eating habits and avoiding heavy meals I've been a lot better. I don't drink milk as I don't like it apart from on cereal. I have goat's milk too as the body digests it more easily and I also find it goes off less quickly than cow's milk. It's also good if you have allergies as I used to suffer with asthma and eczema more before I switched to goat's milk in my early twenties.0
