Morning triangle, your not so surprise baby shower sounds lovely
 everyone else.
Our visitors are coming this afternoon so got to finish sorting the house ready. We've got 7 people staying now so not too bad. I don't mind really as next year we won't be having loads of people to stay. I usually cook for everyone but I said I didn't want to this year so we are off out for a Chinese then a few (non-alcoholic for me) drinks in town before coming back here, there will be 12 of us in total so it should be fun. Last year we had about 18 people over and we did a Eurovision themed party. We had a Eurovision t shirt competition and everyone really went to town on it and made some great ones. I did party bags (like you get at kids parties) for the top 3. I also made loads of different food from around Europe- I spent from 11am to 7pm in the kitchen! It was such a great night but I just don't have the energy for all that this year so that's why we're off out instead.
Anyway enough rambling, I'm going to go make some breakfast!
Labour vibes to all our boldies

Congratualtions SM on team blue
like others have said, theres nothing wrong with feeling slightly disappointed or having a preference
When pregnant with Maddie I really thought she was a boy and wanted a boy.. when i saw she was a girl I was a bit deflated, but i came round
This time round I really wanted another girl, and nearly hit the roof when told she is indeed another girl lol, (wouldn't have a clue with a boy!)
Triangle your baby shower party sounded lovelyMy work threw me one on the last day. I'm a play assistant and all the kids had worked so hard on it.. i cried too!!
It's getting harder and harder to drop of to sleep nowI could't lie on my side last night, My leg ligaments were just toooooo painful, so I spent the night fighting slipping down the pillows propped up. I had really odd dreams again. But woke up this morning to the sun blaring in the sky so I'm happy lol
In other news my Milliemoo got a homework certificate for her Tower of London projectI'm so proud of her! and as a reward my Dad and step mum are going to take her and Maddiemoo to london to see it for real, after the Olympics! (she doesn't know this yet as she's at her dads) i'm a proud mummy lol

Morning all!
Hugs to those who have a rough night. Didn't get to sleep until well gone 2am due to carry hips. My cat was very sweet and hugging my bump. Think it makes a comfy pillow lol.
Emsbet hope you get the house sorted, sounds like it was a feast last year. Is it Eurovision today? You can tell I'm out of touch with reality!
Triangle your baby shower sounds lovely, what a nice surprisewhat books have you got? I'm just being nosey now.
MM well done to MIllie for her homework! Guess the teacher liked the photo of her head in the basket.
RJH I know what you mean, if we could just float around wouldn't it be lovely? If anyone susses how we can do this, you could be very very rich! Also looking very sunny outside here too so quite excited that I may venture into my garden
We've got a couple of friends over this evening so probably just BBQ some sausages and do a bowl is salad and done. Luckily BBQ is the man's job so I can sit back and supervise
Going to watch the rest the rest of Saturday Kitchen with a cuppa then....do something useful. Hope everyone has a good Saturday:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Morning ladies,
Just read up some of the replys to my post yesterday.
I can't remember my blood type but I was told when I had DD that it wasn't an issue, after I had my first and only blood test during the induction. This baby is with the same partner(now hubby) and no one has said anything so I don't think its a issue.Happily married mama of 50 -
Lmm it's usually this weekend but it's been moved to two week's time this year. We won't be watching it this year though as we are off to watch Rhod Gilbert that night
House almost in order

Hiya fishcake could you at least find out your blood group from your gp? if both you AND your partner are rhesus neg, then no it wont matter or be an issue.. But if your partner is Rhesus positive and your neg, then the baby may be either pos OR neg. if the baby is pos, then it is an issue. My oh decided it was in our best interest to have a blood test to see if he was neg or pos. Bless him if he was neg i wouldn't need the anti d injection because baby could only be neg. As it turns out he like most of the popluous is pos. so I will need the injection after birth
I fully support your right to an informed choice of no medical intervention, but like fluffnutterI'm aware there are certain conditions that can only be detected by tests and as long as you are aware of the risks involved in not taking the tests then that is up to you. (please don;t think I'm trying to judge you or anything like that I'm not, just trying to give the whole picture)
If I had, had my way at age 17 i would be dead now. I'm severely phobic of hospitals. I developed appendicitis but was in complete denial. My dad called the dr who said to take me straight to A&E I said no i'm not going there's nothing wrong with me, it's tummy ache and I can walk! when we got to the hospital I tried to bribe the porter with £20 to dump me outside the hospital (fire exit) luckily he just laughed at me. by the time they got me into theater it was just on the side of not too late. i was on my way to the appendix rupturing. I don't like medical places or intervention and i have to have medication not to have panic attacks in hospitals. I'm not rational at all when it comes to hospitals! but as much as i hate certain procedures I know I need to have them done for the good of my own life and health!
anyway that ramble above was trying to show i'm the last person who would judge someone for not wanting something!:oBad mother to 2!

Tis okay hun I'm not offended
I think that if you are having a baby with a condition ect than a test telling you about it doesn't change anything. I also have a view that some people just arent ment to survive, and I realise religion is a touchy subject these days but I believe that God will choose your fate, and if it is your time then it is your time.Happily married mama of 50 -

I'm hoping it'll still be warming this evening so we can sit in the garden and not need to tidy the house so muchseems the more I tidy the more mess I make lol.
