Thanks guys. They have referred me to a physio led pelvic pain class so I don't think I will get any individual attention. I don't sit a lot apart from
On sofa which is too soft to get any benefit for
They kind of cushion. Gonna get a gym ball at weekend to perch on
love you lots like jelly tots

Hi all,
again had a few days where I've not been online so apologises for everything I've missed.
Thanks for the comments on engagement, the babycenter link was useful
Still getting headaches but my BP is fine so guess it's a bug/me being awkward. They did find protein in my urine again so that's been sent to the lab for testing but they've done that the last 3 times and it's always come back negative.
Had my 36 scan today - baby is measuring in the 90-95th percentile and is currently estimated to be 6 pound 13!! With 4 weeks to go I think I'm having an elephant
but other than that everything looked fine.
Saw the obstetrician and asked about a birth plan then showed her the letter from my neurosurgeon suggesting that any spinal anaethestic or drug may have unforeseen effects (for some reason she hadn't seen it and the copy sent to the hospital wasn't in my notes). It was vaguely amusing watching her face go from relaxed to  when she declared I needed an urgent anaethesist consult. She was picky over who I saw as well as now got an appointment with the anaethesist (really ought to learn how to spell) on Tuesday, Midwife appointment Wednesday and a obstetrician appointment on Friday to discuss what the anaethesist said and finally sort out a birth plan providing I don't pop by then
Labour vibes to all who want them, hope you're all planning a fun weekend

Evening all, hope you've had a good day

It's friday - YAY! :j Only 3 more days at work now for me, on the home straight! I can tell I'm looking massive now as people at work keep saying "ooh you can't have long to go now!", then look shocked when I say it's 5 weeks til my due date....!
Scan on tuesday to check size and position. Bubs was measuring 35+3 at 32 weeks, so it'll be interesting to see what s/he measures at 36 weeks...!
DH and I have been doing my moxibustion every evening, and the whole house stinks! Pretty certain baby hasn't moved yet though, I can still feel what I think is a head pushing out of my side! One benefit of having a breech baby, though, is that I don't get kicked in the ribs like some of you seem to suffer from!
rjh, I went to one of those group physio sessions and it was quite good. They'll just teach you about the make-up of the pelvis etc, and tell you movements/positions to avoid, and a few exercises that might help. At my hospital, once you've been to that class, you are then "on the books" and can phone up for an individual appointment whenever you think you need it.
Congrats sexymouse on your scan. It's ok to have a preference for one sex over the other, I must admit I have a slight preference for a girl too! However, you won't give a damn once he arrives - he'll be a mummy's boy in no time!
And little boys clothes and toys are always really cute...
Got a big day of painting lined up for tomorrow, with a few friends coming over to help. i've been instructed that I'm not allowed to do any DIY, so I guess i'll mainly be on tea-making and food-providing duty! The problem is I'm such a control freak, I hate leaving other people to it
Dh bought a brand new baby bath support thingy from someone at his work yesterday. It's quite cool actually: http://www.johnlewis.com/231220515/Product.aspx
We aren't planning to buy a baby bath, so this will come in useful if we want to bath the baby in the main bath, or even have the baby in the bath with one of us (might be a bit cold for us though at baby temperature!)

Any of u spd sufferers? How did u did out u had spd? I just said to my midwife I was having pain but I couldn't distinguish it from my normal back pain from an old sporting injury. She asked a couple of questions said its spd and referred me to physio. Do they not need to do an examination or something to check?
Because I had "loose hips" before pregnancy the obstetrician at 16 weeks referred me to the physio to try and prevent full SPD however I was signed off at 19 weeks by the GP. However she didn't examine me. She knows my medical history well so I guess she just took my word for it, I guess knowing I'm a nurse too I know what I'm on about. The physio just tested all my joints, I think more for her curiosity of my hyper mobility rather than any therapeutic value. But never has anyone really examined me and said yep it's SPD it was kind of of just assumed I guess.
Congrats SM on team blue
Congrats on your last day of work Turtlemoose
Mrs Manda wow bubba sounds like it'll be massive! At least the birth plan is getting sorted at last. Hopefully you won't pop in the next week!
BB I'm really interested in whether this moxibustion works. Good luck for the painting, I know what you mean nits hard just sitting watching others doing it. I'm lucky OH is very perfectist with that kind of stuff so I know he won't just slap paint on. But I like to double check
Just has lovely dinner with my bestie (who is 33weeks now) and her OH. Could see her bubba's feet sticking out at the dinner table, the waitress was amazed. But wow I'm so full up, I'm sure baby has taken up my pudding tummy
Hope everyone else is ok and has nice plans for the weekend. Sleep well everyone xx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Morning all :hello:
Hope you lovely ladies managed a decent night's sleep and fellow SPD sufferers aren't feeling too battered!
I had a lovely evening last night. As predicted, a very lovely lady at work held a suprise baby shower party for myself and the other preggers women at her house. A select few were invited (its a massive team divided into different clusters but everyone she invited are close to both of us) and we received some lovely gifts - it was so overwhleming we were both sobbing! Had a lovely chinese too and a good old laugh - feel very lucky today
A relaxing day planned for me today - I completed the first task on 'maternity leave list of things to do' yesterday by going to the library and now have a huge pile of books to get through
Going to go back to bed now as DH works Saturday's mornings and get cracking on one! Then BGT final tonight - I am loving it this year!
Labour vibes to those boldies - hoping for some yummy baby news over the weekend!
Turtlemoose - yay for maternity leave too! Hope you have got lot of relaxation planned
Have a great weekend all

Morning triangle, your not so surprise baby shower sounds lovely

 everyone else.
Our visitors are coming this afternoon so got to finish sorting the house ready. We've got 7 people staying now so not too bad. I don't mind really as next year we won't be having loads of people to stay. I usually cook for everyone but I said I didn't want to this year so we are off out for a Chinese then a few (non-alcoholic for me) drinks in town before coming back here, there will be 12 of us in total so it should be fun. Last year we had about 18 people over and we did a Eurovision themed party. We had a Eurovision t shirt competition and everyone really went to town on it and made some great ones. I did party bags (like you get at kids parties) for the top 3. I also made loads of different food from around Europe- I spent from 11am to 7pm in the kitchen! It was such a great night but I just don't have the energy for all that this year so that's why we're off out instead.
Anyway enough rambling, I'm going to go make some breakfast!
Labour vibes to all our boldies

Congratualtions SM on team blue
like others have said, theres nothing wrong with feeling slightly disappointed or having a preference
When pregnant with Maddie I really thought she was a boy and wanted a boy.. when i saw she was a girl I was a bit deflated, but i came round
This time round I really wanted another girl, and nearly hit the roof when told she is indeed another girl lol, (wouldn't have a clue with a boy!)
Triangle your baby shower party sounded lovely
My work threw me one on the last day. I'm a play assistant and all the kids had worked so hard on it.. i cried too!!
It's getting harder and harder to drop of to sleep now
I could't lie on my side last night, My leg ligaments were just toooooo painful, so I spent the night fighting slipping down the pillows propped up. I had really odd dreams again. But woke up this morning to the sun blaring in the sky so I'm happy lol
In other news my Milliemoo got a homework certificate for her Tower of London project
I'm so proud of her! and as a reward my Dad and step mum are going to take her and Maddiemoo to london to see it for real, after the Olympics! (she doesn't know this yet as she's at her dads) i'm a proud mummy lol Bad mother to 2!
