hmm, just realised that my post may have been a little bit insensitive kitten-pie - it wasnt supposed to be a 'look what you are missing out' on kind of post, just thought it may make you chuckle, sorry if it doesnt read like that. :o

I thought that I would pass that job to hubby until my youngest cornered me on the stairs last night with
"mummy what are the bits next to my winky called"
thinking i could get round it "your bits" i replied :p
Not happy with that he wanted to know what are they really called. Thought it was best to be honest (stupid me)
"well, some people call them your balls but they are really called your scrotum"
to which he hooted and ran off singing "I swing my balls back and forth, I swing my balls back and forth" :rotfl: cant wait till he teaches that one to his class mates :rotfl:

Can't believe I'm awake this early when we didn't go to bed until almost 2am! I'm tired but awake, it doesn't help that DH is practically lying on me! We had a good time though so that's the main thing.

Looks like it's going to be another nice/dry day. I love the dry weather but it sets my hayfever off and I have no idea what, if anything, I can take. Apparantly the wet spring means we are in for a high pollen count this year. I've only had hayfever about 6 years so it still takes me a while to recognise that's what it is(I had a bad case of glandular fever which knocked my immune system for six and ever since then I've had it).

((hugs)) SM it may take some time to get your head round having a boy but when you meet him I'm sure you won't be able to stop loving him. I would say start referring to the baby as "he", "baby boy" and "my son" as I think that will help with the bonding. When my baby kicks me each morning I always say "hello baby boy" and refer to him as him or our son when I talk to DH (and I discovered last night that it's really hard not to do it in front of others as DH wants to keep it secret!).

    Getting nervous about tomorrow.

    xx

    No bother, thanks!

To say I'm a bit scared is an understatement. Went for my final scan & meeting with consultant on Friday there. Was offered a sweep but I declined it. It just seems so unpleasant. And I think in the back of my mind I am putting the whole labour thing off.

Feel really silly now - Of course I want to meet my baby, but I just want a few more days first! Does that make sense? I feel a bit of a chicken to be honest!

Just found out yesterday that a friend had died in her sleep. 30 years old. Thats the second person I know to have died suddenly in the space of 5 days. The other person was a 20 year old boy. It certainly puts things into perspective. SO sad.

What is happening? Do you think more people are dying from this sudden adult death thing these days, or is it just the case that they are reported more often now? The whole thing is very upsetting.

Sexy Mouse - I had a major wobble when I found out my fourth child was also a boy. I stropped around for a bit after the scan and couldnt decide on a name. Then my husband had a suggestion for a very appropriate name and it stuck. Naming the baby and giving him an identity in the womb really helped us bond and me come to terms. Now DS still gets called that name and he is nearly 16:eek: You have plenty of time to get used to the idea of having a roughty toughty baby boy!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
