Another busy morning on the thread... so much to catch up on. Just back from my last bit of professionally done pre-baby grooming: feet (can't reach them) and eyebrows (couldn't be bothered). Am now back on the sofa and about to finish off a carrot cake - well, my OH doesn't like it and we wouldn't want it to go off, would we?...

Welcome and congratulations to Twinkle and Chrissy
Crossing my fingers for Kittycat's job interview (congratulations on team blue :j) and Ikkle's test results (just gone 3pm)!
Miss Money, hope toes and animals are behaving - sounds like you do need to get that pool ready!
On the subject of washing baby clothes, in addition to the issue of chemicals that others have mentioned, I've also heard that you should wash new clothes because they might have loose threads in them that can end up in baby's mouth or around their toes/fingers. Non-bio washing powder/laundry liquid is recommended, as is fabric softener - especially if your baby has sensitive skin, which obviously we won't know about until they're here, so better safe than sorry methinks!
Hope everyone else is well

Congratulations on team blue kittycat! Looks like the boys will rule September! I've updated the list or you.
Ikkle, I hope the results brought good news for you.
Miss money, sounds like things are starting for you!
I've done some tiding around, trying to get the house in order. Got to get it nice and tidy ready for the 8  guests we have stopping at the weekend!

Triangle, one of Jenny's three names is the one we've chosen too - wonder if it's the same one you have in mind.
Ooh Jovi's got it shortlisted too! Yes we're going to call him Theo. When we picked it we thought it was unusual but not too unusual and it's also a name which is in DH's family history. Don't tell me it's going to become really popular all of a sudden!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Yup you guessed it, another one for Theo. I just adore it so much...and I don't know any other Theo's (although it sounds like I will do very soon!
) There are still two other names in the running though as DH isn't entirely convinced. MFW!

Freebie alert! In case anyone's interested (and, like me, has too much time on their hands and won't mind answering 7 multiple choice questions...), Bepanthen are giving away free samples of their anti-nappy rash cream. I've just requested one, so I don't know what size they are, but I'm a sucker for a freebie and will be happy with whatever they send me! Go to www.bepanthen.co.uk and click on 'claim your free sample'.0
