anyone have thoughts on the icandy pear?Skint, but happy (ish):p0 -
MissMoney - hope you're feeling a bit better, it must be good to know that you have a lot of support on here! I don't know about autism, but having researched a lot on bipolar disorders I have become convinced that about 95% pf the population suffers from it! I'm not being flippant when I say that and I class myself as one of those affected too! It still sounds to be that he is panicking about becoming a dad; it's all too easy to criticise someone else parenting when you have never had to do it yourself and I think he is actually worried about how he is going to cope with LO arrives. You've done it before so you know how to deal with the every day stuff but this will be a whole new experience for him. I think maybe he is frightened by thelack of control he has in the situation and that's why he is trying to control you. It doesn't make it right by any means and his behaviour is not to be tolerated in any way, but if he makes you feel like you're a crap parent and useless (which you are so definitely not!) then it will make him feel justified when baby arrives and he feels useless beacuse he is not sure what he is doing! That's just my little theory anyway!
Just know I'm thinking of you and sending lots of positive thoughts your way! You too Jovi, sorry to hear you're suffering! x0 -
Triangle, one of Jenny's three names is the one we've chosen too - wonder if it's the same one you have in mind.
Ooh Jovi's got it shortlisted too! Yes we're going to call him Theo. When we picked it we thought it was unusual but not too unusual and it's also a name which is in DH's family history. Don't tell me it's going to become really popular all of a sudden!0 -
Theo is 50th most popular name in the uk. Lovely name tholove you lots like jelly tots0

Afternoon ladies
Been awol all weekend, reading from my phone but it's so hard to post as there's something wrong with the touchscreen and typing is really frustrating! Can't wait to get an upgrade next week :j
Big congrats Jennynoo, and labour vibes to the boldies
MissMoney, I don't have anything to add to what the other's have said about your OH, apart from that it's unacceptable for him to speak to you like thatMy DH and I regularly disagree about the housework as we're both really lazy/messy, but he would never say it's my job to do it. I do most of the cooking as I'm home an hour before him, but everything else we share (when it gets done, our house is a tip atm, and our landlord might be coming to visit on Friday )
As for me, I think the worst of my morning sickness may have past, not been ill since Saturday! Did have a stressful weekend though, as had spotting after we DTD on Saturday that lasted until yesterday. Very light and more like brown stained CM, but it really panicked me as I've been getting loads more ligament/stretchy/crampy pains for the last few days as well. No spotting since lunchtime yesterday though, and babycentre email this morning said that increased ligament pains are normal for this stage in pregnancy, so I'm trying not to worry too much.
Spoke to FIL about the hospital/thyroid clinic situation, and he's going to ask one of his colleagues who's a thyroid specialist my list of questions that the consultant I saw wouldn't answer. He suspects that the consultant is a gest diabetes specialist who just didn't actually know the answersWe are going to complain to the GP surgery and PALS at our hospital about the referral process and the fact that the GPs don't follow the national guidance, as it just leads to unnecessary delays.
We had a family lunch with DH's family yesterday, Grandma is down visiting, and she's very excited about becoming Great-grandma! She does make me laugh though, she said to DH that she hoped he wouldn't take "this new-fangled paternity leave" as he'd just be under my feet when I got home from the hospital :rotfl: She also said that men shouldn't be allowed in the labour ward as they're just in the way, and seemed amazed that DH wants to be there for the whole thing (and that I want him there!).Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

But is it false?Provided your waters haven't gone (leaving you a bit vulnerable to infection) a slow labour might be great. You might be happily dilating away for all we know, and by the time your real pains start you could be 8cm gone and just a hour or so from pushing out your baby!
That's what I want: a labour I don't even notice."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
