Have been pooing quite a bit more the last couple of days whereas before I wasn't even going once a day! Dull ache seems to have stopped but baby is now very active on one side of my belly!
Fingers crossed this is the start of things for you. I think the increased toilet visits are a common sign that labour is on its way

On the subject of shopping, thank you to whoever it was that mentioned the Halfords changing mat the other day (sorry - baby brain strikes again - I can't remember who it was). I ordered one, and it has just arrived - it's brilliant! Such a bargain for £3 and with free delivery too!
Nutella, is it waterproof? The one that came with our changing bag as part of the travel system we bought from M&P three years ago isn't and that's a real problem when you're out and about and LO decides to do a wee or worse a runny poo is a place that doesn't provide the big tissue thingy. If it is I might buy one:)£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

Hi ladies,
Popping in very briefly to say we're headed in tomorrow morning for 'labour augmentation' which I gather is just like induction, lost my plug yesterday and then my waters broke soon after, I managed to make my sister's wedding ceremony and reception today with great discomforthaving quite strong contractions but still infrequent, feeling a little nervous at what is to come but just gonna try to get some sleep for the last time in a while
Take care everyone, labour vibes to the boldies, hope I can access the forum on my phone on the ward to follow how everyone is getting on xx0 -

With my first, I was 41+6, was round my mum & dad's (as it was my birthday) for dinner. Not long after dinner needed to loo urgently, thought oh no I'm gonna have the trots. Must have been up there for 30 mins. Anyway 30 mins after my contractions started and 7 hours later DD was born!£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

According to the packaging, it's waterproof, and it looks like it would be (haven't tested it yet as still waiting for baby to appear!). The information on the Halfords website is a bit limited - it also has three zipped pockets where you can put things like nappies and wipes, and comes with a little plastic container (which fits into said zipped pockets) intended for wipes to keep them moist if you don't want to carry a whole big pack around. If you decide you want one, it's here: www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_783061_langId_-1_categoryId_253203#tab1. There's a better picture + reviews on Amazon (where it costs £10 rather than £3...): www.amazon.co.uk/Sunshine-Kids-Change-Travel-Changing/dp/B000EDJ19Y. Hope this helps!

Another busy afternoon! Hope everyone's had a good day.
Had a great time in Ikea. OH wheeled me about otherwise I would still be walking around at my hobbling snails pace today. FIL kindly bought us our day bed. I got some sheets, pillowcases and pillow for the cot. I know they're not meant to have them at birth but as I was there I got them.
Nutella, if only you knew my OH's love for meat! I'm sure his son will be just the same lol, but I always have a jelly when we go and I did this time
Emsbet glad LO is wriggling a bit more now. Like others have said we're here to support each other, even if we do feel a bit daft afterwards.
Amymo glad you got through the wedding, hope you managed to have some fun. Good luck tomorrow and hope to hear your happy baby news soon!
Triangle glad you also had a good productive shopping day also. Hope your legs aren't too sore
Dizzi sounds like you had a good day out, debenhams do such lovely things, but they're not that cheap. Still a princess needs to look lovely. Nice to hear the nice nurse called you. That's really lovely that's she's still thinking of you and Erin.
Fluffnutter I'm adding cling film, bungee straps and luggage straps to my shopping list as I'm having a boy
Sending lots of labour vibes Hannah and to the rest of the boldies.
Just chilling out in bed now watching rubbish tv. Hope everyone has a good bit and sweet dreams xx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

I just wrote a huge post and stupid laptop ate it!!! GRR!!!!
I'm so angry i'm going to take a break before i type again...
[......]
Right!
My changing mat also arrived and i'm v pleased with it for £3!
I also ordered a little outfit from verbaudet and used the code so i ended up paying £9.99 for the outfit and baby bag that came with a mat (and it's really cute - on the small side but definitely worth it!)
My friend came over today with lots of goodies as she is convinced i will have this baby tomorrow! (if only!) So i got homemade flapjacks for my labour bag, and a lovely nursery rhyme book (which is a very thoughtful present as i am foreign and i don't know any english ones!)
Flapjacks didn't make it into the bag sadly as they were just Too nice so i am making some more tomorrow!
I'm also a bit grumpy with this little one being so stubborn, I know i'm only a couple of days overdue but i also know it could be ages yet and i am just so fed up! Being off sick since 16 weeks has taken its toll on me and i just want this over now
I'm tired of people asking about it and dh and mil making all sorts of comments like "ohh we're off this weekend, would be a good time" yes it effing would be, i can hardly do anything about it though!(sorry about the rant!)
Oh and Pampers village, stop sending me e-mails congratulating me about my lovely new bundle alright? :rotfl:
and breathe...!
Amymo hope everything goes well, i'm glad you managed the wedding!
Welcome to all the new comers!0
