LMM, sound like you had fun in IKEA :) We're going to pop to the Warrington one after the next scan.

Is anyone else suffering from sore ankles? It's the sort of thing I expected but not this early on. It's mostly my right ankle, it's not swollen (possibly a tiny bit if it is) but aches all down the outside edge. Maybe it's just all the scoffing of biscuits and other treats I've been doing whilst sitting at home bored adding too much extra weight ;)

  • Hi everyone.

I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with my 5th child (my 4th son) & due 8th September although I will be induced at least a week before due to diabetes.

So far it's been a pretty uneventful pregnancy & hopefully it stay's that way.

Apart from feeling tired I feel fine, my placenta is quite high up & between me & the baby so I haven't even felt him kick yet.

I hope everyone else is having a nice relaxed pregnancy too. :D
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

I think they can be but you have to watch out for the neck size of the sleeping back as smaller babies can wriggle down inside them. I'm going to get some but maybe use blankets to start off

    xx

I seem to remember my first one recommended from 8 pound something? But strangely is bigger than my Asda one, and we're only just starting to use it more. The Asda 0-6 one seems quite small in comparison, but can't remember what size it was recommended for?

Just had to go buy next size up ones for my little giant. My Asda currently have 1.5 tog summer ones for rooms up to 23 degrees in a neutral creamy colour. Those come in 0-6 and 6-12 (not sure what other sizes if any?) for £10. I didn't look at the winter weight ones but I paid £12 a couple of months ago for mine. They also had 2.5 tog Grobag ones in the baby event for £15. Didn't notice any small ones but got a 6-18 month one for after the summer (lol, if it ever arrives!).

My first one was a cheapie, but doesn't have a zip, the Asda one is far more user friendly cos you don't have to post them through the top, just lie them on it and zip round! Not opened the Grobag one yet but think that has a zip too. :)

Oh, and they're very handy for the travel cot, how on earth do you manage to tuck blankets feet to foot under those silly flimsy mattresses? :D

Good luck today Amy! :j Will be thinking of you, gald you were able to make the wedding :) Big labour vibes to anyone else who wants them too :)

    Welcome BCS

I'm suffering today following my shopping trip yesterday, tut tut. Back, legs, hips and pelvis all very sore and horrible swollen feet. Which can only really result in one thing - a day relaxing on the sofa eating yummy naughty food with my silent witness box set :D Although I'd quite like to paint the hallway and bathroom as well! :o

Have a good day all xx

    Morning ladies

Hope your aches and pains calm down soon Triangle.

Massive hugs to you Flutterby-lil, I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I hope your little girl will soon be home with you.

Good luck to Amymo and Hannah27, hopefully holding your babies very soon :T

Hello to any new people who've joined :)

I had another rubbish nights sleep, up every hour with sore hips or needing to pee as my thimble sized bladder demands. Getting up every few hours with LO is going to seem easy! (I remember it's not from my first but I am trying to convince myself!). It's frustrating because I feel the nesting urge to clean and tidy but not the motivation to actually do it from being tired and sore. Ah well, my DD hasn't developed asthma or anything else from living with a bit of dust!

The sun is shining here so that means one thing - ice cream :D

I've always been fascinated by twins :) Do you know yet if they are identical or not or is it too early to tell? What age are your children? I bet they're all excited at getting not one but two baby siblings!

    xx

I'm assuming they're non-id on account of them being my second set, but from I gather from what I have read that it's not quite as straight-forward to tell, as id twins can have separate sacs and placentas. That said, all of my children look alarmingly alike anyway, so I'd probably never be able to tell, short of them taking a DNA test, lol.

I lost one of my twins to cot death at 4 months, so I have some worries, and was quite worried as to how the rest of the family might take the news; it was a terribly difficult time. My other children are a DS of 12yrs, DD (the twin) of 9yrs and a fierce little DD of 4. They are all incredibly excited, particularly the 4yr old, but then she is an evil genius so probably just excited at the thought of her own private army :rotfl:
