Congratulations to Natwesty - sounds like you've had a tough time, but good to hear you're both on the mend. Megan is a lovely name :)

Sexymouse and BB, thank you for the welcome messages!

Big hugs to Miss_Money; I can't believe he called you lazy!! Makes my blood boil  I realise this won't sort out an insensitive OH, but could you start doing your food shopping online? At least you'd have food in the house and won't end up arguing about it? I hope your day gets better - and do scream into that pillow if it helps :(

  • Morning ladies!
    Welcome Catbag and double congratulations!
Hugs to those who didn't sleep well and have painful hips this morning.
Emsbet a spa sounds lovely, also aching a lot mmm
Miss Money what can I say? What an @ss! Can you not take his card when he's asleep? Online shopping is definitely the way forward, but what I would say after my experience a couple of weeks back. Try and get an earlier slot if poss as it took me nearly a day to out it all away. Also I got some of the heavy/bulky stuff as it was being delivered like toilet rolls etc. just cos you're at home all day doesn't mean you need to tidy after him, oh dear :( big hugs Hun. At least you're going out to your dads later, hopefully that'll cheer you up. Hungry or not I would still eat the Easter egg haha.
Kelda welcome to maternity leave. Hope your interviews etc went well.
Enjoy baby cuddles SM and BB and have a good shopping trip triangle remember lots of tea = lots of wee!
Sorry to anyone I forgot there, I did read twice to try and remember everything
Well I got woken up when my lovely cat decided that my tummy, then my chest was not comfortable enough and moved to lie on my throat! So I was awake very quickly! Just watching Saturday kitchen with a cuppa :) OH is talking about going to Ikea this afternoon as FIL wants to buy us a day bed. I'm still in lots of pain to move so I think it'll be a wheelchair job. I'm not sure about it to be honest, but I know I couldn't cope with walking around Ikea for hours. I guess I'm a bit self conscious about it. So my normal excitement at going is a bit subdued. All depends on whether OH gets out of work at a good time. I've seen a cot I quite like there too. Normally just bypass the kids section so in quite excited about having a good look at that. oh I've talked myself into being all excited again :D

    Morning everyone

Miss money, that's just charming of your OH sounds like he needs a slap with a big wet fish, hope you enjoyed the Easter egg!

I've not been awake long, but on the plus side it looks quite nice outside for a change, well for now anyway!

I had this weird pain last night, just below my belly at the top of my lady garden, have no idea what it was but it seems to have gone now, but going to take it a bit easy today just to be on the safe side.

Went to next yesterday to take a top back and OH saw some gorgeous sleep suits and dress and legging set so we bought those, then went and got a curtain pole for the nursery and popped in mother care to look At bouncy chair, but bought a great big cuddly puppy and they had pampers newborn nappies on offer at £3.00 per pack so got a few of those. Ended up with KFC for tea.

I know I couldn't cope with walking around Ikea for hours.

I know what you mean - walking around Ikea nearly killed me a couple of months ago, and the pain I've been experiencing isn't normally that bad!.... :( But I think it was worth it. We bought (amongst lots of other stuff...) a baby bath and a baby sleeping bag there - both seem good quality and much cheaper than any I've seen anywhere else :)

On the subject of shopping, thank you to whoever it was that mentioned the Halfords changing mat the other day (sorry - baby brain strikes again - I can't remember who it was). I ordered one, and it has just arrived - it's brilliant! Such a bargain for £3 and with free delivery too! :)

Dare I brave the bus into town with a newborn (well 1 month old)... want to go to Primark since they do babygros with ridiculously long arms and legs which are about the shape that fits lil' miss... she's "outgrown" loads of her early baby stuff mainly based on the long arms and legs thing.

Nutella I've heard they've got nice baby stuff there, been on their website and now have a list. Just see what time OH gets out of work now

Hello all, hope you are all well.

I just want to urge anyone who thinks their waters may have gone, to go to hospital straight away. My little girl is only 4 weeks old and has been in hospital since Monday on a drip, very poorly due to getting an infection that the think has been caused by me not being induced in time and the infection getting in through my cervix.

She has got a hole in her neck, puss oozing out of every weak part of her body that it can, belly button, under her arm pits, the hole in her neck. It is heart breaking and has been one of the hardest weeks of my life - they are pumping her with the strongest antibiotics they can to fight off the infection. The hole has been named as a branchial arch sinus and the infection as a Staphylococcus infection. She has had a can to see if the hole is connected to her thyroid gland and is now awaiting a scan on her kidneys to see if the puss leaking from her neck is coming from her kidneys - fingers crossed.

I dont want to scare you but if I can help anyone, I ask you to please speak to you labour ward as soon as you think you may be leaking water. You need inducing within 24 hours, I wasn't!!
