worth looking for 2nd hand ones :money: on ebay.
The current advice is to NOT buy second hand car seats as you don't know if they have been in a car accident/damaged otherwise.:j Tehya Baby DD 22/03/2012 :j

Wow another busy day to catch up on!
Poor fluffnutter passing out and being off your lunch. Hehe hope you're ok nowgood to know your hubby likes to share. First time I've heard this word "lochia" before. Lol at your brother, poor SIL.
My mum mentioned that definitely I will need maternity pads and not night time or thick normal pads. Only two packs so far, so may stick up on boots as they have an offer then other shops depending on where I go. Good to know that supermarket own brands aren't too bad, guess everyone will find them different.
BB sorry to hear your baby is breech. Hope that painful sounding thing will help. Didn't look a the links yet but sounds interesting, will start pumping up my ball and get bouncing to try and prevent a breech baby.
Molly is great to have a midwife here to advise us, pls don't stop posting.
JenAbout carseats - We've got a I love my bear Graco buggy/travel system that has the car seat in and a carry cot that fits in. Should also practice fitting it in the car at some point.
Hugs MrsManda hope you sleep better tonight.
Miss Money your OHs baby brain did make me laugh. Maybe when he's left with baby he might step up. Hope baby warns you if she's about to poo on him so you can video his face!
Hope everyone else is ok, time for a little rest after a busy day before we go to MIL for dinner.:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Well thanks for the telling off but I was talking about buying a BASE 2nd hand !Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
We're definitely going to get a base for whichever carseat we get, to save leaning into the car as much. I had a major back problem last year and one of the worst spasms happened after I'd been fitting my nieces carseats. Leaning and lifting is the worst action for my back, so I need to minimise it where possible (vain hope with a baby on the way

Ladies, mamas and papas have 30% off maternity wear atm, incase anyone is buying? I'm sure all the jeans were in it. Over the bump for about £28 I think
x
Boots also have a baby event so all nappies, bottles, bottle accessories, pads etc are 3for2. Boots pads are by far the best. I bled for 2 weeks (which isn't long so I'm told) and I think I went through about 10 packs.
Huggies nappies & wipes = sh!te. Nappies may be alright for girls, but for boys, defo not. Don't be fooled by the cheap wipes, you will get poo on your hands, and trying to get 1 out the pack at a time would better suit the people at Mensa. On the newborn facebook group we all love Pampers sensitive wipes.
Happy shoppingxxx

LOL I have soooooo many Huggies wipes and newborn nappies! :rotfl: Only because they were v v cheap (or free) - don't seem to get so many vouchers for PampersHopefully I'll have a girl....!
Thanks for the heads-up on the Boots event, I need to get some pads so I'll wander in there next time I get a chance.

I made the same mistake, luckily I managed to exchange a good few packs, the wipes I use for cleaning and stuff when the urgency to get them out the packet isn't as bad :rotfl:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Nah huggins rubbish for girls too lol. I am a pampers girl. Always said I would buy own brand and when I tried them they were rubbish!love you lots like jelly tots0
-
I'm stocking up on pampers and johnsons wipes with offers/vouchers and own brands. Figured Huggins would be ok for taking off make or wiping faces. Things that aren't too "messy." Most coupons seem to be for Huggies which is a shame as lots of people have been saying pampers are better for boys. Heard quite a few people saying tesco nappies are quite good too so might get a pack of those to try. We're team blue so good to know :-) cheers Gilly. Looking forward to having baby and looking on this Facebook group!:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

We've came to the same conclusion rjh090384. I know Kira that used to post here finds Huggies fine, but I think that's the only new mum over there that does, so I suppose it all depends on the shape of your baba. Also came to the conclusion that the reason they're always on offer and basically getting them free is because of how crap they are. Pampers are very rarely on offer.
I love Pampers too, we've barely used anything else since my LO was born. Used Huggies a couple of times (kept trying to see but no) when he was first born the size 1's were too big for him (and he was an average weight) and then they just leaked.
and yes LMM a lot of people say Tesco are great, we've never tried them so I couldn't tell you!The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
