Thank You - I will keep posting as although Im not practicing anymore I do keep myself up-to-date with all the new developments. Midwifery is the most privileged vocation and I miss it desperately but am coming to terms gradually that I will never "catch" a baby again. x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

My sister in law is making us washable wipes. We are hoping to go with washable nappies too but missed the reusable nappy week. When I say we missed it we were too nervous to buy.

  • Kitten how do you make the wipes? No wonder you're worried about buying things. I'm sure they'll be plenty more offers on when you feel a bit more ready Xx

She is using muslin for some and fleece so will have different patterns and materials for different uses. Just sewing them together with a nice border, the ones which have already been made look lovely.

Ive been looking at the re-useable wipes - they look a good idea but im just not 100% convinced yet !

We found Lidl were good for nappies for our boys, IIRR they worked out a little bit cheaper than tesco but similar quality
    Bow Ties ARE cool

Oh yeahh I meant to mention that. I think they only go from size 3 and up though IIRC. Could be wrong though :o

Hey everyone, sorry haven't had chance to catch up on everything. Been busy with work and then saw Michael McIntyre last night. Was great but the seats were so uncomfortable and now I'm in agony walking, think it could be the onset of my SPD which scares me greatly.

Emsbet - did you say you had got the matalan swimming cossie or just ordered it? I'm thinking I might order but not sure size wise if I should go up as quite large in the boob area. Need to go swimming me thinks as I don't want bad SPD. I need to be working as finances are naff!

I ordered it yesterday so hopefully it'll be here soon. I'll let you know how it is size wise when it arrives :)
