Just come back from lunch with OH: told him about the stuff I have been learning on here like the box room nursery heating options etc, but stopped short of telling him about maternity pads and clots! Didn't think he would want to know about that whilst we had Pizza Hut buffet lunch!

I can well imagine, after my second mc at 13 weeks normal pads were not good enough and I had to use the massive ones from the hospital so I'm guessing after birth it's even heavier. :o

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    haha!! poor fluffnutter!

funny isn't it? I thought the TTC thread was bad with all the CM talk! This is much worse but it doesn't really bother me.

I just realised - I was reading it whilst eating tomato soup!! hahha!! :rotfl:I'll never look at tomato soup in the same way ever again!

I can imagine. I'm not phased by it at all though if I get my LO live and healthy at the end of it :o

Putting me off having a baby...! ;)

In all seriousness, though, it's good to talk about this sort of thing, cos can you imagine if you had no idea this would happen - you'd go to the loo after having a baby, or get in the shower, and think you were dying!! :o

Sounds like some of you have the most wonderful husbands, I hope mine is equally manly when it comes to that sort of thing. I guess it's one of those times in life where you just have to step up and get on with things!

emsbet- Truly, seeing their little faces makes all the pain and goo, gloop, and nastiness of the 1st few weeks so worth it :) x

LOL! I emailed my husband a link to the stuff I was going to buy in Boots and told him it was so I didn't piss the bed or haemorrhage all over him. It's his baby too. He says he wants to share everything :D

Of course they haven't upset anyone! (not me anyway :D). I love all this talk. I'm not really squeamish - I'm just having a laugh, although it's a bit of an eye opener to realise just how heavy the lochia's going to be...
