My husbands sleeping on the sofa at the moment too, although he is there because we had a fight months ago and he sulked off to the sofa to sleep - im so comfortable without him Im not inviting him back dont think i could share MY bed now after weeks of sleeping in the middle

Hi. I didn't even know I was in labour until I was told 5cm dilated! Went to the loo, wiped, pink discharge, went up to change - waters broke. Called hospital, they told us to come in. Still no real pain, a bit something in the back. Doctor didn't examine me a first as no pains and with broken waters wanted to reduce risk of infection. Babies fine, not distressed at all. Monitors were removed, I was given the first dose of steroids, and left to rest. 3 hours later a bit more pain, monitors back on, examined - 5cm!! No reason for it, they were not distressed at all.

I am in horrid pain from my stitches! I can't take anymore painkillers for a few hours, as already took loads (paracetamol, codeine, voltarol). Can't sit down anymore today, can't stand up. When I am up on my feet I am in such odd shape, that my neck, lower back and shoulders hurt! I am going for check up tomorrow, hope i can get some advice what to do. If they decide to restitch them,I hope I don't have to stay in hospital again - too much to do at home.

Morning ladies

Thanks for the photos Gin, they are both absolutely gorgeous, I really hope they get to come home with you soon.

Hugs to those of you suffering with SPD, I never realised before pregnancy how debilitating it can be I've been very lucky and I think at 34 weeks (today!) I've just started getting it the last few days - quite bad pain in my hips and down into my groin. Still manageable though thankfully, I just look like an old woman when I get up out of the chair - takes a while to get going!

My friend finally had her baby! Waters broke early hours of Monday, went to hospital, was 2cm by 1pm Monday, then no more progression to speak of by Tuesday morning. Induced Tues a.m., nothing much happened, ended up having a c-section at 5pm last night! Poor love, she must be knackered! Can't wait to see her and her LO (girl).

Got 3 plasterers here today, they're all quite young and very noisy, talking about farts and girls....great! Am supposed to be working from home...

Midwife coming later this morning, hoping she'll be able to tell me that baby has turned the right way... it's certainly been wriggling a lot the past few days anyway. Birth plan discussion today too, I think.

Hi turtlemoose and the other newbies :wave: I think of myself as a regular although don't post as often as some (no names mentioned...! ) as I'm usually on my phone and am useless at typing on it.

What does V Day mean?

Another grey and rainy day here today, and no work this morning, so may try and do a few bits around the house that I didn't manage to do yesterday. Got to wash my hair this morning too, but waiting til the hot water heats up a bit more as Moon didn't put the woodburner on until this morning. Nice and toasty in the house now though.

Labour vibes for all who need or want them, and hugs for those who want these too.

viability day, at 24 weeks if you go into labour the hospital have to do everything they can to keep your baby alive. Before that date they just leave you. - this does depend on hospital but 24 weeks is the legal cut off point.

It is really sad that they won't do anything before then especially when you hear of some babies making it who were born before then but I guess legally they have to have some sort of cut off.

I know, at the memorial service at the weekend I was talking to one girl whose babies were born at 23+ weeks and although they were born alive all they would do is let her hold them until they died.

We were discussing how she wanted them to stay in a little longer and I just wished mine were born a few days earlier.

My sister was born at 24 weeks exactly and is now 22years old with no physical or mental problems.
