People always say that. Although I've thought it myself this time. But no luck.
Just think of it as you've made such a nice home for him, he's too comfy to leave it just yet.
I was 5 weeks early, and the midwife at my booking said "ooh that's a sign you could go early" because apparently you take after your own mum.
Stupid woman shouldn't have told me that
I know, at least he seems to be happy in there. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Really shouldn't read this thread during the day - you've all got me craving chocolate and wondering whether it's worth going to the corner shop for some.
And I've been really good today - toast and jam for breakfast and cucumber sandwiches and a blood orange for lunch.
I've been eating too many crisps over the last couple of weeks though I blame my OH because he snacks in the evening and it makes me want some too - my willpower since being pregnant has plummetedPlus he spent a chunk of time over the weekend making fairy cakes which have now all gone.
Just had a look at the EDD list and realised quite how many babies are due in the next week!
I was early but my OH was late - according to his mum he shared our LO's EED and was born a week later so my OH is really hoping history doesn't repeat itself as he doesn't want to share his birthday
Ideally we want baby to arrive on time or a week early. 2-4 days late would be a nightmare as my OH will be a 100 miles away in the middle of some fairly important exams.
But for now I just want the next scan to say everything is fine, baby is growing well and there are no problems.
Good luck to everyone due over the next couple of weeks, hope it works out for you Gilly.0 -
Think I was 2 days over, DD was 11days over, and Bump will be here Monday so I think we're a family of overduers, sadly.
Not long to go though now for a few of us on here.
Your boy might make an appearance before your date yet Gillyx

I know, it's Robert Burns day today, I would have loved for him to come today, but doubtful!
Other than that I think the first of Feb would be nice. 1-2-12, I like that date of birth.
He will also be year of the dragon, like meThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Gilly - What a day for you! Hope things progress! I reckon I'm going to be late. Even though I just feel like I couldn't be more uncomfortable than I am now. There's not enough room in my belly for all the food I want!

Oooh Gilly sounds a bit exciting!
Today I have eaten a banana, a bowl of porridge, a pack of quavers, a large pitta filled with egg and salad cream, a tub of tomatoes and veg sticks, a cup-a-soup, a tub of fruit salad, a yogurt and 4 squares of hazelnut choc.
Dinner will be cottage pie with roast potatoes and 3 veg. Hopefully that'll be it but I may well have another yogurt or some choclate later!0 -
Woohooo for One Born. I can't wait lol.
After this mornings healthy breakfast, I'm doing wedges topped with cheese and bacon for dinner. Nom x0 -

It is one of my brothers birthdays today, woke up this morning, hubby already had TV on and the news was on - heard them talking about Burns day and sat bolt upright and said "s%&t - I havn't sent Bro a card". I text him and blamed it on baby brain - that is ok isn't it!
And my baby is due on St Georges day - which just happens tobe another brothers birthday, 1 week to the day earlier is OH's ex wife's bday (she needn't bother coming then), another week earlier is OH's twin brothers birthday, and another week earlier is OH's birthday - which this year is selfishly on Easter Sunday. So she either comes before then (which might be a bit early) or she can stay put until after lol. xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0 -

Wow Lisa, very healthy, well done!! I can now add a 120g bar of Dairy Milk to my list for today. Dinner will be healthy though, Salmon, jacket potato and Mixed green veg.
I have already put on a stone and a half Gilly  I had to go to Tesco at lunch time and buy some leggings because my maternity trousers are digging in when I sit down so possibly getting a bigger bottie :rotfl:
Oh, I cant remember who was put on iron tablets recently but I had my bloods back and I am still low so got to continue with mine (started at about 10 weeks), suppose it would help if I took them more often than every 3 days but they bung me up a bit) Might give Spatone a go.
Oh, over cautious question of the day.............. is diet coke ok during pregnancy? Got a bit of a thing for it at the moment but dont know how much a day is ok.0
