  • Gilly, with my DS my waters broke. Initially it felt like a gush and then it was literally trickling for the next 18 hours or so. They tested the liquid at hospital to check it was fluid and then sent me home until the contractions got worse.

    39 working days here!!!!

My desk is in the middle of my stomach as well. But the babies are still quiet and I can rarely feel them. Sonographer said yesterday that I should be feeling lots of movement now, to which I replied that I don't!!!! I have anterior placenta, so I guess that makes the difference. But I do feel that I am expanding! Was going to ask consultant when does she advise to stop working - I am absolutely sure I won't be able to go past 30 weeks - I am only 20 weeks now, and it is hard enough!!!

I wish it was 30 weeks, would only put me 2 and a half weeks away, 27 weeks this week for me, and finishing at 36. I think even with the anterior placenta you should start to feel them more in the coming weeks, they will be having a little party in there! lol x

I am taking all my annual leave before I go - so, 6 weeks of holiday, and maternity leave officially starts mid-May. I don't think I will be able to drive for long with the double bump, nor am I willing to be dragging my laptop bag around and trying to shove it on the shelves in the train. I am thinking that I may need to stop earlier, but really wouldn't like to move the date forward as then I will have much less left on the other side. On the other hand, they might arrive early, although we really hope we can last to 35-36 weeks at least....

I know I will feel them more later - it is just now that I don't! I can feel them by touching my bump in the morning, you can sometimes feel hard lumps appearing and then moving away, it is a great feeling!

Okay well, they told me to monitor it for the next few hours, as it's all stopped now, and if it starts back up again give them a phone.

R.e the eating Laura, that's hardly anything, for the majority of my pregnancy I've been having 2/3 weetabix and 2/3 slices of toast in the morning, then normally a yoghurt and some fruit, then a cuppa with a few biscuits, then lunch, maybe soup/sandwich sometimes both with crisps usually and then a big dinner and more snacking at night, think mars bars etc :o

Also been having like 1 Dominos a week, sometimes Chinese or chippy too  I've put on a stone and a half.

Oooohhh I cannot tell you how strong they are, sometimes she winds me, if it is the first one and she is n the right place! I love it and get excited at each and every one, but she has got some serious strength.

The one thing that is a bit on the "don't like/weird" side for me at the moment is when she has what feels like her legs dangling down into my private bits and kicks down there - it feels like she is too close to coming out for comfort.

I can also feel her turning round or over and that is just plain freeky and you can see it too if you happen to be watching, looks like that scene from Alien lol x x x
