Gilly - one thing I would suggest is write down the time when you first noticed it as if it is your waters then they will want to know the when so they can work out how long they've got before they get too concerned about infections etc....

Might sound daft but its probably the first thing I'd forget and have to give them an -ish timeframe.

***edited to add this is also my sisters top tip for when the baby comes along - keep a diary of feeds and nappies etc so when the mdiwife/healthvisitor comes along you have half a chance of knowing whats going on****

:rotfl: Would be sods law for me, because my TENS won't get here until tomorrow and that'd be £30 down the drain. :o

Okay I shall, it was about 1 o clock, so I should hopefully remember that, although knowing me!

  • ahhhh I have to say it - sorry lol.

But if it is your waters breaking you may need to let them know because of infections (skulks away quietly again - soz x x x x

It's not as thin as urine, if that makes sense, a tiny bit thicker.

OH is in bed, he's been up vomiting all night so I don't want to cause a hullaballo for nothing :o

Call the midwife. Apparently amniotic fluid can have an oily consistency to it.

Thanks ladies, I think I will wake OH up and see what he thinks. I don't want him in the hospital at the moment, if he has a bug, especially with all the problems with my hospital at the minute!

Gilly, just ring the hospital - I say it is better to get checked out, than wait and see what happens.

I am tired - I am in the office, but it is so hard!!! My back is aching (high up), it seems to be doing every time I am in the office, so I am blaming this chair/desk. I have a meeting in Cumbria on Friday, so going there night before - just so that I don't need to end up driving 4+ hours in one day!

Oh, and we booked 'holiday' to inlaws - leaving next Saturday morning, and have to leave the house at about 4am!!!!!!

Sounds promising Gillyx, though I guess with your OH poorly you would probably rather baby waited!!

I feel a bit better about my eating with you not thinking it sounds like a lot :0)

Ahhh Gin, my work chair is killing me too - gives me rotten backache and makes me bum numb, for ages after I have stood up, and when I do stand up it takes me 2 minutes to straighten my back! It really is driving me mad, only 37 working days left!!

I also am finding I am having problems with my desk, baby really objects to it being there as it goes midway into my stomach and she makes it known she doesn't like it! x x
