Haha I have very non-perky boobs sadly but hadn't heard the muslin trick, will give that a go...

Amelia ends up swaddled a lot for feeding as she loves to throw her arms around in front of her face or suck on her fingers, just as I'm trying to get her to latch on. I feel like I need another couple of pairs of hands to hold everything out of the way :rotfl:

Just been reading the "cooled, boiled water for formula" thread and my head hurts:o I'm still non the wiser after that:o

I started reading that thread and soon gave up! My conclusion was that breastfeeding had better work as bottle feeding is too much of a mine field!

Tired today and have to work the weekend (only a couple of hours each day but getting up at 6am) so I've booked Friday off to catch up on a bit of rest!

    Congratulations Twigpig! xx
  • Congrats Twigpig (though secretly jealous - I'm a week overdue today :( )

Thanks Ro, I'm trying my best but ended up in loads of tears yesterday, I had unbearable backache, it felt like someone had smacked bricks off it or something :( I'm so sick of hearing myself moaning but I can't help it and all I keep thinking is I hope he comes before Monday cause I can't take it any more. Hope you are enjoying your mummy cuddles, I can't wait for mine xxx

    TC everyone,

Congratulations to all those with new bundles of joy! I've loved seeing all the photos, they are all absolutely gorgeous babies, I want one! :D

I had my 20 week scan yesterday, was great although the photos are a bit freaky! Luckily at my hospital we have a big flatscreen tv facing the bed that shows the same screen that the sonographer sees. I found it absolutely fascinating, baby was wriggling around all over the place and is very clearly a little human now (as opposed to a blob with a head, lol!) Anyway, everything looks normal, so I'm happy :)

My friend came over last night, she's 26 weeks and since I saw her 2 weeks ago she's suddenly got huge! I thought I had a reasonable sized bump but not compared to hers! It's weird, some people have been saying "oh are you sure it's not twins?", and others are saying I'm small - I wish people would just stop commenting as clearly none of them have a clue! I was actually a bit worried that the baby might be a bit undersized as I weighed myself properly a couple of days ago and I've only put on 5 lbs (no idea how), but all is fine :)

Got my newborn starter pack from asda yesterday - I didn't realise that the voucher would take £5 off my shopping even though the pack is only £3 at the moment! :money: Must go back again before the baby event ends to get one or two more packs.

I think someone on here mentioned about getting headaches? I've been getting terrible headaches every single day for a few weeks now, normally in the afternoon, but sometimes all day :( Sometimes I go to bed with one, and wake up in the morning with it still there. Have had my blood pressure checked and it's absolutely fine, so the midwife has assured me that it's "just one of those things" - boo hoo.

Right, must go and do some work...

Have a great day ladies! :)

I fell asleep on sofa last night bout half 10. OH woke me up, took me upstairs and gave me a massage and I slept till 7. Best nights sleep in weeks.

Gonna get him to give me another massage tonight to see if it works again :D

Got the delightful event known as my sweep this morning. God I hope it works as I'm soooo fed up of waiting/hurting now.

Hey BB, I'm 29 weeks tomorrow and only put on about 5ish pounds, asked the midwife who says not to worry about it as I've not had any complications so far with this pregnancy. I just think everyone is different. But I'm expecting to start putting on more weight in these last 11 weeks. I have a very small bump (thats what I think) as some people I work closely with still dont know i'm expecting!! :rotfl:

    Congrats Twigpig and Bluebell!! :T

I'm starting to get a bit fed up with this pregnancy lark, its just not me, I know I have had an easy ride so far but much prefer not being pregnant. Plus i've become so sensitive to EVERYTHING! DH and I had a little squabble before I left for work this morning and now I'm not myself... I just want to cry!!:( Someone give me a slap and tell me to pull myself together PLEASE!! Hopefully I will have calmed down by the time I see him tonight...

Anyways, looking up, good luck to all the boldies... This thread, even though I'm not a regular poster, I read everyday, is keeping me happy and sane :)

Huggies nappies for 7lb boy are leaky Cue loads of washing :eek:as have loads may be just him be interested how others get on have found pampers better

Yes, same problem here with my 9lb boy! I was discussing it on the Newborn thread yesterday, Huggies leak wee up his back, but sadly Pampers leak poo out of the leg holes too. After googling yesterday, someone was saying to be sure to pull the frilly bits out on the Huggies to help stop leaks. Not sure what they mean exactly, but will try another one sometime and study it closely :D
  • ive got an sweep today as im 41+2 ...does anyone have any experience of these ? im booked in for an induction on saturday so it seems a little late to be honest!
