I was 5 weeks early, and the midwife at my booking said "ooh that's a sign you could go early" because apparently you take after your own mum.
Stupid woman shouldn't have told me that
I know, at least he seems to be happy in there.
Don't know how much truth is in that! My mum is a twin and was born at 7 months, I think I was two weeks later. However, her twin sister did have her first child at 7 months, very suddenly without any warning. Oh no, I hope I can carry mine longer.... Maybe I better think of changing my leave date to earlier... Surely, sitting on the sofa all day and watching daytime TV is not going to cause babies to come, but travelling on the train and dragging/lifting/etc laptop bag (it must be about 7-8kg all in!) is not going to help to keep them in.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Afternoon ladies and bumps!
Just been reading back and I am having a hungry day too. So far I ve put away a banana, crisps, a prawn salad, a plum and a piece of toast.
I ve got a packet of jammy dodgers in my desk draw that is callign to me - might have to have a cup of tea and some those soon - yum
Looking forward to One Born tonight too. Last week hubby watched it through his fingers and I cried every time a baby was born! What a funny pair we must have looked!
Could someone kind and clever please add me to the list? I dont want to mess it up! Im due 15th April and baby is a little yellow mystery
Congrats to Bluebell and Twigpig!

Laura. I think i was told 2 cans maximum a day. The caffeine free diet coke tastes exactly the same as normal diet coke though so I switched to that.0

My baby is due on pancake day LOL
Can't wait til OBEM. Gonna be emotional.
I am considering making some hot chocolate and muffins to eat whilst watching OBEM. Either that, or garlic bread (sort of - it is rye bread, fried, rubbed with garlic, sometimes topped with cheese).I have already put on a stone and a half Gilly  I had to go to Tesco at lunch time and buy some leggings because my maternity trousers are digging in when I sit down so possibly getting a bigger bottie :rotfl:
Oh, I cant remember who was put on iron tablets recently but I had my bloods back and I am still low so got to continue with mine (started at about 10 weeks), suppose it would help if I took them more often than every 3 days but they bung me up a bit) Might give Spatone a go.
Oh, over cautious question of the day.............. is diet coke ok during pregnancy? Got a bit of a thing for it at the moment but dont know how much a day is ok.
I got maternity trousers for work from Seraphine - ok, they were expensive, but they are the most comfy ones! The band over the bump is so smooth and soft, I love it. Although, I have to keep pulling the trousers up (not the band), I guess my shape of the hips, as all the trousers/jeans I've got do this!
I am on iron tablets for 2 weeks or so. I can't complain about constipation - ok, it is not as before, but not too bad. I take mine twice a day (200mg tablets). I have my cereal with blueberries or other fruits for breakfast, maybe a slice of bread with nutella, a herbal tea, and take the iron 2 hours later, as you are not supposed to take it with tea, eggs or milk. And in the evening, depending on what is for dinner, I will often have the dinner, and then take the iron before I go to sleep. I hope the consultant is going to repeat the blood test to see if it is helping, as I am feeling just as tired as before.
I am not sure about Diet coke - I think it still has caffeine in, so I haven't had any coke/pepsi since getting pg.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

I also am finding I am having problems with my desk, baby really objects to it being there as it goes midway into my stomach and she makes it known she doesn't like it! x x
I have a cushion on my chair at work, brought it from home and helps. I was at college yesterday and came home with terrible backache......i guess the cushion really does help.
I also struggle when I have stood up.
Only 27 more working days for me, can't wait until the 9th March0 -

Lol that is never a hungry day in my books - I am always hungary.
Today I have had:
Breakfast at 7am (ricicles as DS said I had to have same as him today)
Banana at 9:30am
Cereal bar and mini cheddars at 10:30am
3 slices of toast with dairylea, yoghurt and strawberries at 12:30pm
Cereal bar and more strawberries at 3pm
Just out of interest how much weight has everyone put on and how long left to go.......I have put on a stone and half and 9 weeks left. Some days lately I am just so so hungry all day and pick all day.0 -
I wouldn't drink Diet coke, aspartame is no good for you and baby.
3 weeks to go here, I am ready for this pg to be over0
