I went to TKMaxx yesterday and picked up a nice fisher price nappy changing bag, then went to Asda and bought loads of Disney £6 baby grows, not very mse but very nice. I've obviously decided I'm having a boy as all the ones I liked where blue.

I'm feeling hyper stressed at the moment, I'm trying to keep calm but things just seem to be winding me up quickly, I've cried more in the last 4 days than in the last 8 months. I want to move out of my shared house, DH works/commutes to Birmingham, so I think we should move there but I don't know anyone there or anything outside of the bullring. Finances would be extremely tight, 2 weeks to due date, but I still want to move out to avoid more stress. I know I'm completely mad for even thinking about it, but I keep thinking about the extra 2 hours a day I would get back with DH and having our own house again. As well as the excitement of exploring a new city.

  • ohh a nice new thread yay.

    congratulations Ro.

we went to collect a fish tank last night before we went to dog training, didnt realise how heavy it would be, boy am i feeling it today.

re nappies, our asda have none of the starter packs in stock, they seem to magicly dissapear when baby events are on until they finnish. i wont be using huggies anyway because i found with the other kids that there little bums didnt work well with huggies they just kept getting nappy rash.

some woman on this morning is talking about breastfeeding and how you shouldnt feel guilty if you dont feed.

I've been made to feel bad for not breast feeding, more on mse on a diff thread, but really have no intention to, It doesn't mean my baby will be less loved, I just don't want to expose her to any of the Ivf drugs I took, as I took such high doses, there prob isn't a risk but as Frozen ivf baby there isn't much research into what affects them later in life, frozen ivf's are less than 11 years old so our little one is a marvel in more ways than one xx

Lovecrafting you are brave getting a fishtank! xxx

  • My midwife looked at me like i had three heads when i said i wouldnt be breastfeeding. When i explained why she kept saying to me 'oh dont worry it will be fine.' I then continued on to get my point across and so she understood it wasnt up for debate and she told me again she would help me and it would be fine. Eventually, i was a bit short with her and asked her which part of the conversation she had misheard as it wasnt something i was going to change my mind on. Every time i go she still asks me the same questions and i just give her the same answers. She has 12 weeks to get her head round it...LOL. Apart from that she is absolutely lovely!!

you should never be made to feel guilty about breastfeeding or not breastfeeding, you have the freedom of choice. no matter what your reasoniong you should never have to justify yourself to others.

I am still un decided on breastfeeding it all depends on how i feel after she is born, the likleyhood is i will be back on medication within a week or so and i dont want to transfer this to the baby, however you choose to feed your baby is your choice. not anyone elses.

lol i dont feel verry brave today after moving that bleedin tank.
  • Just re-registered on Asda Baby Club to get the voucher and I still can't print it - the only computer I have is my works one, and it won't let me install the coupon printer thing - aaaarrrggghhhh - I want one now!!! Blummin thing, why cant it just be a picture you print???? Thanks for the above Lisa, I will do it somehow lol x

I'm the same as only have a printer at work.

While I'm pro (the idea of) breast feeding, it really annoys me when people make you feel bad about not doing it! My unit is very pro breastfeeding and try to pressure you into doing it, which I really don't like. I'm going to give it a go, and it will either work out or it won't, but I could do without the judgements and the pressure already, so I can only imagine the pressure for those who have already decided not too. Try not to let them get you down! I'm pretty sure happier mothers will make better mothers, so do what you think is best for you both!

On a TMI question, would breastfeeding interfer a lot with DTD, both DH and I are really looking forward to that day again, as we have been on consultants orders not too pretty much since BFP :(

breastfeeding will make no difference to DTD hun, please please remember that the idea of it being a contraceptive is not entirley accurate, you can and will still get pregnant wilst breastfeeding.

gilly could it be a plug?

Don't think it was enough for a plug lovecrafting, wish it was. Although I went into panic mode and shoved loads of clothes in the washing machine, and tidying up all the house! :o :rotfl:

Just waiting to see if anything else happens, it's OH's last exam today and we've always said while talking to bump "now you've got to stay in there until the evening of the 18th" :rotfl:

Thank God someone else is saying about breast feeding not being a contraceptive. My best friend thought it was as her doctor had told her that, this was a few months ago! I was practically screaming at her, NO NO IT'S NOT.
