I'm going to have a little rant if that's okay. Had an appointment with the midwife yesterday during which I was told I was growing well and was a perfect size for my dates. I was very happy about that I have been worried about becoming too massive (I have been eating rather a lot!). Then this morning, I bumped into a guy at work who asked me how long I have left to go and then said "you're a bit on the big side for only halfway through aren't you?" How unbelievably rude!!! It really upset me. I know I should just ignore it and it's probably my hormones making me upset but I couldn't believe someone would be so blunt. Grrrrr.

I think I'd have struggled to not smack him one.
Either that or said something along the lines of 'well when my baby is here I can always lose it, unfortunately you don't have an excuse for your rudeness'. Honestly, some people are just knobs. Don't let it upset you. Some folk just can't help but put their foot in it

Congrats Ginsvt (and I doubt I've spelt that right) - hope the long trudge through special-care isn't too long for you and you can get the cuddles asap! Hard as hell when you can't hold them.
