I'm no longer sick cleaning my teeth although still gag sometimes. My dentist suggested using a mouth wash if I can't brush my back teeth but haven't tried that yet. Early on in the pregnancy I made sure I took very little toothpaste and was spitting all the time so the foam didn't build up. Hope this helps someone.
Can anyone please explain if I really need a baby monitor? The only one with good reviews is Angelcare (saw it on Amazon for £75 the other day) but I'm not sure if it's really necessary. Wouldn't want to waste money on something I don't need.0 -

We don't have one, but we live in a 1 bed teensy flat, we're moving next month and I plan on buying one, and we're moving to a slightly bigger 2 bed flat. If you plan on having babe upstairs at night while you're downstairs I'd get one, purely because if you get to baby before they're screaming there little heads off, it's easier to settle them. You're more likely to hear a little whinge on the monitor than what you would if they were upstairs and you down.
My baby also sleeps better being in the bedroom away from us, and whatever we're doing xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

How did you get on with the GP today Miss Money?
Gilly again mine was the mini medela pump. I think it may be older as it had a £55 price sticker on. A lady near me just wanted rid and I paid a £10 for it. Was dubious about second hand for something so personal but as it can all be sterilised so I got it. Didn't come with any bottle/bags or anything like that so have had to get separately from eBay.
What is the main difference between the mini and your pump? I'm not sure what I would pay, I mean I bought that pump because it was a bargain at that time and I know the make is recommended. I wasn't really looking at pumps at that time. Sounds like its almost brand new and comes with bits. I looked on eBay quickly, a couple that have bottle are either currently or have sold for over £60. There's one without bottles that went for well over £60. Hope that's a little bit helpful.
Silly moo I'm also debating about the monitor. My sister is going on and on about one. Ok we live in a house so bubba is likely to be upstairs whilst we're downstairs at times. But it's not like we live in a mansion so I'm sure I'll hear him. I feel like maybe I sound like an uncaring mother for saying that. OH wants to get a video one so he can watch him all the time, which spooks me out a bit tbh. Let poor bubba sleep in peace lol.
Think it's time for bed here, night all, sleep well xxx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j
