Congratulations gin-another one who is a fan of the names too.
Glad ur ok BB -try not to worry too much about the size-the midwife guessed my friend's baby would be 8lb 13 and she actually weighed 7lb 6!
Still got a massive headache and am feeling queasy - I think it may be stress induced though as I'm worried about loads of stuff at the mo including that they may find an anomaly at the scan on Thursday. Also stressed about visiting my Nana in the home on Sunday as it didn't go well last time I was there.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Oh congrats Gin!! Well done you! Fantastic natural birth - brilliant! Can't wait for the full birth story ;-)0

Emsbet, congratulations on possible team blue!
And now my announcement. Will try to post the long story separately in case it disappears again.
So, Emilio and Maya were born today (32+6) at 9.35 and 9.55am. I had epidural in case things went pear shaped anxious both of them needed help with forceps. Emilio wad born 1980g and 45cm long and Maya slightly lighter as is suited fir the girl at 1860g, but taller at 47cm. They are doing well and breathing with just a bit of help using pressurized air, CPAP. No cuddles as yet, but if all goes well, maybe tomorrow we will be allowed to hold them.
I am ok, just had the 'wonderful' hospital meal and OH was asked to get me pate from Booths. I had episiotomy/2nd degree test, apparently, so have a few stitches.
Congratulations Gin!! Your names are beautiful, will we get to see a pic? Do you have an Italian influence in your family? Fingers crossed for lovely cuddles tomorrow, great they are only needing a bit of help breathing. What happened to make you go to hospital, routine or out of the ordinary?
emsbet, we are also team blue and originally thought a girl would be nicer  I just don't know what to do with boys but we will find out
Had a good couple of days here, yesterday got students finally realising I was pregnant though also asking me if I was joking when I told them why I wasn't going to do sit ups but then had good pregnancy yoga class and spent lots of money at asda baby event!! got the angelcare baby monitor on your advice emsbet though did feel like an overprotective mum already trying to explain it to hubby. feeling very tired and starting to get some back ache even though bump is small! today I went back to an old work as casual contract which is great for baby fund :money: and also so nice to see old workmates, especially now I had a little bump. Rushed around in my lunch break though and came home today to find hubby had consumed nearly a litre of whisky I'd brought back from hols for him so currently scowling at him while pretending to mark GCSE papers and hoping he sobers up soon
hugs to all xxx
EDIT: We move house in June so only have car seat, nursery furniture and pram left to get as well as nursery decorations - eek!!

Hello ladies, wee question, if you were buying a breast pump would you consider buying second hand?
And if you were going to buy a second hand Medela Swing, with 4 collection bottles (that had been used for 3 weeks only and cost £108 new) how much would you pay for it? I asked this on the Facebook group but just would like more opinons. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Gilly, I've bought a second hand breast pump. As long as it can be fully sterilised I don't see the problem myself. Can't advise on the price though unfortunately xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Congrats Gin
Glad scan was OK Emsbet
Hugs BB, hope your face calms down soon.
Gilly, i second the sterilising thought, I'm not sure how much I would pay though, have you checked ebay for similar ones?
For anyone hoping to get anything big purchased kiddicare has 10% off if you spend £100 on at the moment. The buggy I was looking at had gone down to £119 from £189, but then got 10% off so only £108 delivered- Bargain!! Going for the Graco tandem, DD had a ride in it when we visited kiddicare a couple of weeks ago and loved it and will be compatible with our old travel system too.
Also some baby socks i had ordered from ebay turned up today, they are so quite I got a pair with a bear stitched onto each, and a pair with a bee stitched on then some piggy ones and frog ones too, will split between me and my bestie who is due in June, building her a lovely little parcel of bits that so far include the socks and a baby bandana bib thing. Will get a few little baby gros and a nice blanket, although I may try to knit/ crochet one and her some nice smellies. She has been a bit poorly through her pg so I want to make her feel a bit special and looked after. Plus I *may* be her birthing partner (I am in reserve after her mum) so want to really look after her!
Legs are aching now, may head off to bed, rewatching 24 season 1 now, I love it!Boots: £107.xx on AC :j

Yep you can sterilise it, only thing you can't is the wire between the electric bit and the pump bit. Thanks anyway
I did look on ebay, but Ebay confuses me.

No that helps slightly. Thanks
I do want to sell it, but all I seem to have is the breast pump and the extra bottles and the calma teat. All the other bits (which are useless, like but still) seem to have gone astray.
