BB my husband had B's P last year; it started with a tingling on his cheek / eye and a headache like pain in the back of his head. He phoned NHS direct and they send an ambulance within 4 minutes (!) as symptoms can be similar to a stroke. He was presecribed steroids for 2 weeks, but then wasn't 'weaned' off them, so his headache returned when he stopped taking them. So he went back to the Doctor's and was prescribed another month's worth.

He was back to normal in 5 weeks, one thing to be careful of until then is that using computers, reading or drivingetc can be a strain on both eyes and he got tired more quickly than usual.

I'm not sure what contraindications the steroids or other such treatments have with pregnancy, but i'm sure that the Doctors will know what to do. It might be worth mentionning that if you have private medical insurance, it will be covered as it isn't pregnancy related, and they could run extra tests etc to make sure that it is all under control.

B's P can be scary at first, but everyone i've heard of that has had it has totally returned to normal.

    Much love xxxx

:j:j:j:j Emsbet :D I'm 20 weeks tomorrow it's strange to think half way already.
I remember Kitten from the 12 week thread, hope she's doing well.

SM I still vomit most times I brush my teeth and other random occasions. My MW didn't seem too worried about it, normally it just passes and I carry on eating after.

yay for 20 weeks emsbet - i felt it started going quite quick after second scan, congrats on your little boy - i am the other way round have loads of boys names not many girls, have narrowed it down to 3 boys names and two girls now as we dont know what we are having.

i am 26 weeks and no sign of braxton hicks - when do people start getting these?
have back and rib pain and feeling sorry for myself some days. did go for a lay down at work today for about 15 mins in the afternoon as my manager has said i can do so. i really didnt think pregnancy would affect me this much.

having nightmares about my nipples falling off, how crazy is that. 26+1 today and counting down 14 weeks to go :)

hope everyone is coping with their pregnancies, i dont think i will only properly be able to keep up with this thread until i am on mat leave lol

I really want something that isn't in the top 20-50 names as I hated having a really popular name as a kid, but I also don't want anything weird that my baby boy will get picked on about. ;)

I read this and wondered what you on Earth you were on about as Emsbet isn't a popular name, in fact I'd never heard of anyone else with it :o:rotfl::rotfl:Oh dear :o

If you'd have asked me three pregnancies ago I'd have said I had a slight preference for a girl but now I'm just grateful for a baby :o

That makes sense to me lovely, so so glad everything went OK on your scan :j Half way through now - a real milestone :j

I've always wanted a girl as has DH and it was a bit of suprise to be told its a boy - even though there was a 50% chance! :D Now though we are just ridiciously excited about having a little man...I still have to pinch myself to believe it sometimes...or rather lift a leg and feel agonizing pain!;)

So far we have got our huge list of boys names down to just three. There has only ever been one girl's name for us which we'll use if the second ( maybe!) is a girl. I really don't think we will finally agree until little man makes his appearence...hopefully then we will just know who he is!

I'm another one who still vomits when brushing my teeth! More my tounge actually but just can't not brush it if that makes sense?!

Jedi, I'm 31 weeks and have only just started feeling the Braxton hicks but not actually sure when they are 'supposed' to start......everyones different I suppose!

We've got our name picked out already, had it since the start and love it! Only close family and friends know though, although I told a random customer at work the other day and she loved it too, said wished she'd thought of it when she had her little boy! It's not common but not 'out there' either and I think we'l be sticking with it :-)
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)
