Good morning
My OH gets home this evening- I know it's only been two nights but it feels like ages.
Miss Money, I hope the doctor can help you. Try not to hold anything back and tell them exactly how you've been feeling and that your midwife is worried about you. If they don't know, they can't help *hugs*
Good luck Gin
I wonder how Charli's getting on with the induction. (unless she's posted and I missed it?)
I cleaned the bathroom when I got up this morning as it was starting to look yukky and I've been meaning to do it for about a week. Unfortunately my cleaning nesting instinct hasn't kicked in at all which is why it takes so much effort to get around to doing anything. But at least it's now done
Feeling really hot today, which is unusual as normally I'm cold. I guess it's hormones and having a power station growing inside me. I'm still waking up every 2 hours feeling like I'm not breathing and to add to it last night I was having dreams about my waters breaking and kept waking up to check. At this rate by the time baby arrives I'll be used to coping on 2hr blocks of sleep.
Getting a bra fitting this morning as I keep having to take my bra off because I feel like I can't breath. I can't decide whether it's due to my breasts getting bigger or just the bump pushing up so thought I'd see what the nice lady at M&S thought.
I've been having what I presume to be BHs for about a week, they feel a bit weird to me and I think baby is moving further down - not got a midwife appointment until 4th May so perhaps by then he may be engaged.
Still waiting for the letter from my neurosurgeon to arrive so my obstetrician and midwife can be reassured that labour will be fine. I trust the secretary to have sent the letter when she said she did so I presume it's a problem with Royal Mail - First letter was sent 4th April and hadn't arrived by the 17th so I called and asked her to send a copy which she did that day and it STILL hasn't arrived.
Ooo just felt baby then a BHI was mildly concerned as I hadn't felt him since waking up and these days he's usually moving almost constantly. I had decided to give it until after lunch before worrying and contacting someone so happy now
Good luck to the boldies and those seeing the doctor/midwife/having a scan today0 -

Hi all,
It's been a few days since I last logged on so I've only caught up on the last few pages!
Emsbet - good luck for today!
BB - hope you get sorted at the docs
Gin - best of luck, looking forward to hearing more soon!
Had my 20 week scan yesterday and pleased to report that everything is ok! Baby is a real little fidget, kept turning round and round, on back, on knees, arm in front of face, kicking out - I'm amazed that they managed to check everything that they needed to! Couldn't believe how clearly we got to see everything as well from baby's spine to all four chambers of the heart! Really felt so much better after seeing baby on screen, it's given me such a lift! We didn't find out the sex of the baby, although OH really wants to know!
Going to head onto Asda's website at lunchtime as there's a baby and toddler event on - I'm hoping that I'll be able to pick up a few bits and pieces. Feel more like getting baby things now - think I kept holding off because it all still felt a bit surreal but I do feel more grounded now! Got lots of lovely tops and baby gros at car boot at the weekend, so our 'Baby Box' is starting to get full!
Hope everyone is ok today *hugs* to all! x0 -
Hey all,
Just popping on quickly as we have lots of decorating to do today (PILs are coming up to help).
LO was being a right awkward so and so. I had to get up and walk around and go back in twice but despite trying to scan three times and getting me to move from side to side the sonographer couldn't get all the measurements! Everything he got was measuring fine he just couldn't get the heart and face to measure them properly. So we have to go back in three weeks on DH's birthday.
Apparently the placenta is anterior which is weird as I've felt lots of wiggles, maybe it's not a strong as it would have been had it been posterior.
We did get him to see if he could see the colour and he *thinks* we are team blue although he said to wait until after next time before buying any boy things as the picture wasn't 100% clear.
I called my mum and told her and then DH got in a mood with me for telling the colour as he apparently didn't want to tell people. Unfortunately he forgot to tell me! He said he wanted a surprise for his mum and dad, why he didn't tell me this before I'll never know!

I knew it
I thought it would be team blue for you Emma.
Little boys are amazing, but you'l know that with your nephews
Congratulationsalso I had to go back for a rescan because of face and heart, so must be a boy
so so so happy for you!! xxxx
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Yay, Emsbet. I'm glad everything looked fine on the scan - and you get another one now too, how nice!
Lol at your DH not wanting to tell people the colour. We already have a name for our little man (have had it for ages) and I didn't want to tell anyone until he is born but my DH started blabbing to people straight away. I was annoyed with him at first but have come round to his way of thinking - seeing as we're already calling him by his name I was bound to slip up in front of someone sooner or later anyway. Same with the colour - you won't be able to stop yourself from saying "he".0 -
Yay for Emsbet. And typical that you have an awkward baby just like his mother....hehe.
I hope hubby doesn't stay cross for long. I reckon once you know it's really hard to keep it from everyone else anyway as you will start calling your bump he or she.
My placenta was anterior aswell but I felt loads of kicks. I think everyone is different. You clearly have a very strong little wriggler in there who likes making his presence known.
Now I insist you have some chocolate to celebrate

Baby Boy due 17th April 20120 -
great news emsbet, little boys are just lovely! always ready to give mammy a cuddle and a kiss on cue...0
-
Yay Emsbet, so pleased all went well for you - maybe your wriggler was being awkward because he wants another moment in the spotlight!! Either way, at least you get to see him (or her!) again soon
Am sure your DH will calm down soon, it might be the adrenaline of seeing the baby on the scan that has worked him up?0
