Excellent emsbet! Another on the team blue side, seems like there's lots of boys coming up! I also had to go back a couple of weeks later as baby was being naughty and they couldn't get the heart measurements either, must be a boy thing as Gilly said!

Ahhhh quite sad that we won't get to see another scan, it really is wonderful :-) only 9 weeks to go though wahooo!

Don't blame you,Triangle, for getting in on the nursery you want, I've worked in a few nursery's and in the good ones the places get snapped up pretty quick. I'm also hoping to tale holiday at the end of my mat leave but we accrue hours on holiday so our HR dept will call me in Feb and tell me how much I've got to take at the end, going back in April will be brill!! Xx

    Hello,

Just popping on briefly whilst revising so have had a skim read, congratulations on your little boy Emsbet, DH and I had a similar thing with this LO but he was soon bragging to his workmates that he was gonna have a Daddy's girl!

Good luck Gin! Can't wait to see twinny pictures!

Well gotta get on with this revision, by 5pm tomorrow it'll be over and then this LO can make her appearance, I have a feeling I'm gonna be way overdue with all these queue jumpers!!!

BB1984 - The not blinking with one eye and "wonky face" sounds very similar to what happened to me a few years ago. It turned out to be Bells Palsy. I was prescribed some strong steroids and it all went back to normal fairly quickly with no lasting effects. Whatever it is, I hope you manage to get it sorted.

You may be right, Elelyn! :T
Just got back from the doctor, they are not 100% happy so admitting me to hospital this afternoon to get some attention from the specialist there.
Seen 2 doctors already today including the partner at the surgery - I feel well important, lol! ;)
They think it's either Bell's Palsy, or shingles.

Supposed to be working from home today but can't see me doing any more now, too distracted. Can't get hold of my boss but going to speak to him and tell him what's going on. All a bit stressful even though I'm sure all is fine - but I've had a very boring pregnancy, and boring is good! I like boring! :o

just a quick post re scans... when we went for our 20 week scan Dan was hilarious, saying things like "look! it's a baby!" "look! it has bones!" :rotfl: I had to jiggle around alot to get baby moving into the right positions and to get some nice pictures. We asked to find out the sex and was asked to turn onto my side so the sonographer could get a good shot before i rolled over the sonographer said "looks like your having a girl :) ". As I rolled over Dan said "we might see a willy in a minute" to which the poor woman doing the scan replied simply and curtly " erm no... little girls don't have willys!!!" I nearly wet myself, but neither Dan nor the scan lady saw the funny side :o ah well :D I assumed she must have the same conversation day in day out!
When I went for my scan with Maddie I remember asking the sex and I must have looked dissapointed when they said it was a girl, 'cos the lady said... "most people smile at that!" I was just expecting her to be a boy! This time round I was hoping for another girl :o i have all the clothes etc and I know what to do lmao! :) have a great day everyone!! :) xxxxx

Morning ladies. Scared the hell out of myself last night ... again!!
I keep getting a really quick sharp pain in my pubic bone area. Mostly it comes and then goes quite quickly and I can locate it to her kicking me down there at same time. Last night in bed I not only had that that made me darw my breath in but it also lasted a while and left me with what felt like background period pain. It felt it radiate round to my back and made me feel like I needed to poo then eased off and then did it again. I was so terrified I went all shakey from head to foot and freezing cold thinking it was real labour at only 27 weeks! Is this braxton hicks? Is it just her kicking me? Or is it her kicking me that triggers the baxton hicks? Gah this is all too real for me now ... toooooooooo reaaaaaaaaaaaal ...
  • So so so pleased for you Emsbet and welcome to team blue. I know they still got to take a few measurements but hope you feel relieved that all is well. I'm sure OH will calm down before long. I know my mum said she didn't want to know whether we were having a boy or girl, but the day we found out I was like look we know and it's not a secret and you'll find out from someone else or via Facebook or gossipy families lol so she was like ok tell me now. I'm sure you were so excited you had to tell someone all is well. Gilly is right though, now we always call bubba "him" or "he" so people will guess. Just glad all is well and hopefully that 20% of nervousness will reduce so you can enjoy more :)
My placenta is the same, they told me last week when I had that quick San that I might not feel much movement yet, am beginning to feel more now though. Think at first I wasn't really sure if it was bubba or not but I'm feeling him a lot more now :) but then he is using the placenta as a pillow - he's a clever boy

BB good luck at the hospital. Not that either sound good, but shingles sounds painful. Hope they sort you out there.
Good luck Amymo for your exam tomorrow

Can't believe how late it is, I know I dozed off as I just woke up. I'm not sure when it happened though. Hope I've not slept through the arrival of my crutches. Really fancy a ham sandwich, must be lunchtime.....
