Triangle, I forgot to reply to you the other day, sorry! Its this baby brain (that I swore I wasn't going to get!). We were on the TTC board at the same time and must have literally fallen about the same time too, weird!
I'm leaving work in just over 3 weeks and can't bloody wait either. This will be the first time I haven't been at work since I was 14!! Taking 2 weeks holiday, so my mat leave will start at 36 weeks, due back to work March 2013, part-time, sounds amazing Are you going back?

I didn't realise that bump tightening may be Braxton Hicks I've had excatly how you describe it....ooooh, things are getting scarly close now! Last night me and DH watched as little man swept his arm across my belly...it was so weird but cute too!

I'm like your twin My mat leave will start at 36 weeks as I am taking 2 weeks annual leave too. I plan to go back in April, having used the reminder of my annual leave days in March. I'll be going back part time all being well (3 days a week) and am viewing the nursery we want this weekend (I know it sounds very early but its the open day and registartion will be be £25 as opposed to the usual £100!)

Morning all, thanks for all your kind messages last night and this morning

I spoke to the midwife, and she didn't seem too worried. She was concerned about my eye/face, but said she thought I should see a GP as she didn't think it was pregnancy-related.

Got a doctors appointment at 10.45 this morning, so hopefully they'll give me something as my eye is really sore and driving me crazy Then got the consultant at 4pm, where hopefully they'll tell me that there's nothing wrong with me, no diabetes, and that they don't need to see me again!

Oh my goodness, Gin, can't believe it's baby-time for you already! Hope you're ok and that all is well, do let us know if you can. Thinking of you and the bubs today

Emsbet, hope your scan goes well Baby will look very much like an actual human now!

Miss Money - have fun spending your bday money! Can you have a "proper" chat with your OH? Sounds like you need a bit more support and it'll be much easier to talk and get things sorted before baby arrives! ((hugs))

RE Braxton Hicks - I don't think I've had any... is that a concern?

BB1984 - The not blinking with one eye and "wonky face" sounds very similar to what happened to me a few years ago. It turned out to be Bells Palsy. I was prescribed some strong steroids and it all went back to normal fairly quickly with no lasting effects. Whatever it is, I hope you manage to get it sorted.

All is pretty dull over here. 25 + 4 today. Seems like ages to go. Still I guess a dull pregnancy is a normal pregnancy so I shouldn't knock it.
My heart goes out to you guys suffering with SPD at the mo.

Nothing really to report from me, OH has 'man flu' today so he has been on phone complaining, DS has been despatched to school and I really need to shift off the sofa and get some bits done around the house...

My OH gets home this evening - I know it's only been two nights but it feels like ages.

Miss Money, I hope the doctor can help you. Try not to hold anything back and tell them exactly how you've been feeling and that your midwife is worried about you. If they don't know, they can't help *hugs*

I wonder how Charli's getting on with the induction. (unless she's posted and I missed it?)

I cleaned the bathroom when I got up this morning as it was starting to look yukky and I've been meaning to do it for about a week. Unfortunately my cleaning nesting instinct hasn't kicked in at all which is why it takes so much effort to get around to doing anything. But at least it's now done

Feeling really hot today, which is unusual as normally I'm cold. I guess it's hormones and having a power station growing inside me. I'm still waking up every 2 hours feeling like I'm not breathing and to add to it last night I was having dreams about my waters breaking and kept waking up to check. At this rate by the time baby arrives I'll be used to coping on 2hr blocks of sleep.

Getting a bra fitting this morning as I keep having to take my bra off because I feel like I can't breath. I can't decide whether it's due to my breasts getting bigger or just the bump pushing up so thought I'd see what the nice lady at M&S thought.

I've been having what I presume to be BHs for about a week, they feel a bit weird to me and I think baby is moving further down - not got a midwife appointment until 4th May so perhaps by then he may be engaged.

Still waiting for the letter from my neurosurgeon to arrive so my obstetrician and midwife can be reassured that labour will be fine. I trust the secretary to have sent the letter when she said she did so I presume it's a problem with Royal Mail - First letter was sent 4th April and hadn't arrived by the 17th so I called and asked her to send a copy which she did that day and it STILL hasn't arrived.

Ooo just felt baby then a BH I was mildly concerned as I hadn't felt him since waking up and these days he's usually moving almost constantly. I had decided to give it until after lunch before worrying and contacting someone so happy now
