Had a dream last night that my friend went into labour yesterday afternoon and had her baby this morning! I just got a text to say that she had her little girl at 3.40 this morning! This is the 3rd friend I've had where this has happened! Wonder if I'll predict my own labour? She didn't know she was having a girl and everyone thought she was having a boy except me! Weird!
You'll have to let me know if you have any preminitions about someone called natwesty:rotfl:

I'm 19 weeks today and have my anomaly scan a week today. In all the excitement of hearing wriggler's heartbeat I forgot to ask the midwife a few questions so I'm hoping you lovely ladies can answer them for me.
Do I need a full bladder for the scan or is my uterus now far enough forward that I don't need to? It doesn't say in my letter so I'm guessing not.
Do you see a midwife after the scan like with the dating scan or is it just a scan?
Or are these things dependant on where you live like most maternity services?
xx
Am I right in thinking your going to bolton or is that someone else,if so you should have a full bladder .I found it very rushed at bolton and the scan lady puffed and puffed all the way through it,really had me worried, hope you have a better experience then I didDD1 27/5/1992

Yes that's me. I think I'll go with a reasonably full bladder then (it was way to full last time!) and I can always empty it. Bit odd that they don't put it in the letter like the other ones. Oh dear I hope I don't get the grumpy lady. It's at 8am so I'm hoping they won't have had time to get fed up and grumpy.... Unless of course I get someone who doesn't like mornings

Oh lovecrafting, sorry to hear things have been so rubbish recently :grouphug: I wish your DH a very speedy recovery, make sure you look after yourself too.
BB - loving that list of yours lady! I do get ever so excited about people's lists of things to do...such a saddo!
Emsbet - I had too full a bladder for the 12 week scan and too empty a bladder for the 20 week scan! Agree with the others - it's easier to empty then fill so I would drink lotsI understand your anxieties about the scan and can only imagine how it must be for you. Until you've had it there is little that you can do - other to than to know we are all here for you and send you lots of squishes xx

Welcome Happy8178 and congratulations!
Hugs Jovi hopefully OH will keep his job, but in this climate it may be better to move where there is a job. Fingers crossed for you guys.
I need to book my breastfeeding session too, I think here they get booked up quickly. It's a women's only session too, no mention of a couple's one though anywhere. OH was quite upset, but I tihnk he thinks we're all going to be there with our breasts hanging out lol.........I'm guessing and hoping that's not what happens:o:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

At the moment we live near my family near Manchester but OH's family are in London. Relocating wouldn't be too bad, just a bit of a pain now DS is settled at school. I suppose it would be better now than when he gets to secondary school
His company has loads of locations - they have over 60K employees worldwide according to their website  so I think it will help if he can be flexible with regards to location
I'm just trying to think of worst case scenario so we can plan for it - also if I have some ideas by the time he gets home he might not feel so down about it0 -
Woohoo! 7 weeks today!
Had my pre-birth visit from the Health Visitor this morning, bit of a waste of time if you ask me, lots of leaflets that I was given with my first by the midwife, oh well, at least I don't have to see her again until after the event!£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

Hi and thanks for all the hello's
I've finally caught up with the thread!
I'm so excited about baby, we found out last wednesday that baby is a girl and have since been buying loads of pink/floral clothes at carboot sales for 10p-20p!! so cheap and such nice clothes! A lot of them are Next or Tesco and even got a few Mamas and Papas dresses which I adore!!**** Itchin' for a glitchin' ****0 -
Happy We're the same, my OH joked once we found out that "we've planned this well, think of all the car bootsales we can go to!" We're having a boy and I got three massive carriers bags for £20 the other day, again lots of Next, Gap and places I would never buy from for babies. Most of them hardly been worn.
I don't know about locally to everyone else, but on facebook there are lots of local groups for baby stuff. One is called free or cheap, another is just for baby stuff. So far we have got a free cot, a baby bath trolley for a fraction of Mama's and Papa's cost in immaculate condition, bouncy chair and today I found a lady around the corner giving away a lovely seat/swing thing. For those on Facebook may be worth searching some in your area. Also when bubba has grown out of things then I can resell them.:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j
