    hey ladies

sorry to hear about all the poor nights sleep due to back/hip problems. i have been struggling for a few weeks now cant seem to get comfy, last night i used two pillows (one between my thighs and the other in front of me) to support me which i think helps although we have a normal sized bed and there isnt much room with all these pillows.

just wondering if anyone had brought the dream genii pillow and if they found it helpful?

i am only 24 weeks and already having thoughts that i wish i was near the end, have upper back pain on an off throughout the day, it doesnt help that i work at a desk all day.

I'm aweek ahead of you. Have the dream genii and tbh found it better earlier on. SoI tend to ditch it hald way through the night now for other pillows.

I bought the dream genii and found that it didn't stop me crossing my legs in my sleep which was aggravating my hip pain. So now I just use pillows from the spare bed.

  • My wife was tempted to buy a dream genie, but I refused on grounds of cost. I rolled up a throw, stuffed it in a pillow case, gave it to her, and she loves it. Best of all, it works great...!

    Hi laura
I found the genii rubbish at first but as I got bigger 30+ weeks it was invaluable. it is a bit of a military operation turning over with it but it definitely supports my bump and legs.

Lisa, I love the wall stickers. We are going for a giraffe and elephant theme in our nursery too (giraffes are my fave).

On the subject of pillows, I bought a dream genii. I seem to find myself switching between using that and a couple of extra normal pillows and sometimes all of them together! To be honest whatever I try I still end up in pain. Think it's just something I've got to put up with.

I have upper back pain during the day too Laura. I think it might have something to do with the weight of my ample bosoms, which seems to have got even bigger recently. God knows what size I'm going to end up (hate them, hate them, hate them).

I think I might have started to feel some movements. Feels a bit like a muscle twitch but I've had it several times in the same place over the course of today. I also felt a "bubbles" sensation but it was quite high up, near my ribs, and I don't think the baby is up there so that was possibly just gas!

Its worth it, without doubt, just takes a bit of getting used to !

Ive spent the last few days watching and bidding on a pushchair on eBay only to miss out on it in the last few seconds :(

Still baby has been wriggling so much more over the last 2 days, and my belly has popped so im now clearly pregnant and not just a bit porky :j

Have you tried goofbay chick? It's free and if you enter what your maximum bid for something is it will bid for you with a few seconds to go. We use it all the time because I can't always sit and watch auctions and I hate bidding and then being outbid right at the end.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

    Hey ladies,

Well Laura and Dashikii, not long at all to go for you guys!

I am ashamed to say I cried on DH last night because I just want our girl to be here, I feel more than ready and am finding maternity leave a bit boring! I think it's also just nerves that if I go over, my sister's wedding will be on my mind as I really don't want to miss her big day, think I'll tell the mw about the wedding on Tue and see if she has any advice, not that she can do anything, it just would be good to know if I do go over what the protocol is!

Have to go to my voluntary work tonight to sign over some paperwork, I truly cannot be bothered to leave the house, I've become sooooo lazy!

I can understand the boredom, although glad to finish work I think it was more the hour +journey each way. I have so far read six crappy paperbacks since last Thursday as I am not a big tv person.
I am sure your oh understands and LO wil be here before you know it

I thought I'd be bored on maternity leave but I'm 2 weeks in and haven't had time to be bored yet! I seem to keep finding things to do, I should probably be making more effort to rest while I can but its just not happening!
