Oh !!!!!!! When I worked for the JC it was such an easy job, as hardly anyone was unemployed, and the majority of people I had to deal with didn't want to work anyway. I don't think I'd like it now
My dad was made redundant in December and the jobs they suggest for him are ridiculous. "Hair Product Salesman" :rotfl: He's a manly 50 year old

Ive spent the last few days watching and bidding on a pushchair on eBay only to miss out on it in the last few seconds
Still baby has been wriggling so much more over the last 2 days, and my belly has popped so im now clearly pregnant and not just a bit porky :j
I hate it when I get outbid at the last minute, it's so bl00dy frustrating.
Yay for more movements! I've had quite a few the last few days (I think). Yay for your tummy popping out too!

My DH was made redundant a few years ago, he's a solicitor and when he went to the job centre they were trying to make him apply for jobs in a completely different area of law to the one he specialises in. They didn't seem to understand that you can't just switch area, and it's like asking a GP to be a surgeon!
Yay for the almost outie triangle :j

Well, looks like we might have to rethink a few things. 2 prescriptions later and hopefully the pain might disappear for long enough to allow a certain someone to sit at a desk without being in pain. Or to get at least 3 hours of sleep. I will have to see how things go, but unless the iron and vein issues sort themselves out (once the stockings and supplements kick in), we may have to rethink our plans for the next 11 weeks...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0

Hi ladies, hope you're all ok.
Yay for the ladies who are starting to feel movement and get bumps, its an amazing feeling isn't it?!
DH and I have been to visit Snoopy and baby Izzie today, Dh wouldn't hold her but when we left he said how cute she is and he wishes ours would hurry up and arrive now bless him! Izzie is so good! I really hope our baby is even half as well behaved bless her!
Apparently my bump has dropped and I am definately getting 'sensations' in my cervix now as if baby is burrowing down so hopefully it is starting to engage. I'm well ready for him/her to arrive now so will be bouncing on the ball a bit to see if it helps! Also by sheer coincidence we're having curry for tea and pineapple for pudding tonight, I don't really believe it'll do anything but you never know!
I've put up the wall stickers in the nursery today, I got these:

and they look soooo cute! We have a bit of a giraffe and elephant (humphrey's corner with a few added giraffes) theme going on so they fit in quite nicely.
I guess I'd best go cook the tea now, can't really bothered but I'll not get fed otherwise!0 -
ooo baby monitors, haven't bought one of them yet (checks it's on my list of things to do). What type has everyone got?
Ginvzt are you still taking iron tablets? I discovered today that one of lesser common symptoms on iron deficient anaemia is tinnitus. - my iron level is exactly the lowest figure it could be before being classed as too low so I've been asked to keep an eye out for symptoms as well as increasing my dietary intake.
I have just today received the BT baby monitor and pacifier. Have set it up in the nursery and listening to it for the last hour.
Can I ask what is your iron level? I asked consultant and midwife when would they worry that it is getting too low, but they seemed not bothered at all! The longer it goes, the less I trust my consultant - she said that she never heard of tinnitus being a pregnancy issue even though we discussed low iron just seconds before. Oh well.
We are looking to order blinds for the nursery. Our window is 230cm wide, so it has to be made to measure.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Hi everyone
Baby is still breech at 38 plus 1 so guess its not going to move now so should be having cuddles this time next week :0)
Glad to hear snoopy and izzy are doing well, I want a baby with her temperament please!
Keep bouncing girls!!0 -
Congratulations Happy, can't wait to read your birth story.
Looks like i'm going to be jumping the queue as expected (sorry please don't kill me). Doctors have booked an induction for the 22nd of April. Baby 1 has low amniotic fluid so have to go back to the hospital for another scan in a week, followed by a sweep. A few people have said that having a sweep is quite a horrible experience but I really hope its not that bad. Anyone had one before? What was it like?
What worries me now is if my waters have been/are leaking and I don't know it. I have definitely felt more wet down there but just thought it was normal for pregnancy but now I'm a bit paranoid.

Hey ladies,
Well Laura and Dashikii, not long at all to go for you guys!
I am ashamed to say I cried on DH last night because I just want our girl to be here, I feel more than ready and am finding maternity leave a bit boring! I think it's also just nerves that if I go over, my sister's wedding will be on my mind as I really don't want to miss her big day, think I'll tell the mw about the wedding on Tue and see if she has any advice, not that she can do anything, it just would be good to know if I do go over what the protocol is!
Have to go to my voluntary work tonight to sign over some paperwork, I truly cannot be bothered to leave the house, I've become sooooo lazy!0
