thanks for your best wishes. ohh were back to the yong lady thing, dont feel like it today i feel like the zombie apocolypse was a toddler version of how i would really feel after she was born lol. it isnt her keeping me awake its the bleedin mother in laws moaning, seriously if it was an olympic sport then great briton would be winning gold with no problems.

midwife has just been she said isla dosent look overly yellow at all and her tummy is looking fine from where her cord came off. her little eet are so bruised from where she was having bloods taken every six hours bless her. and if my damned mother in law dosent leave her to sleep i swear im going to swing for her.

allegidly my house is a mess so she has now been taken out by hubby to get some storage boxes for the kids bedrooms. oh im sorry i didnt run a marathon like you did during pregnancy, ohhh you ad it worse than me didnt you i forgot, spd...ohh its all made up, yeah honest i just fancied sitting on my fat !!! for a few weeks. honestly that woman lol

i think i might stick isla outside in her pram for an hr. she is fast asleep and the fresh air will do her good.

i need to re think the moses basket thing because once the pram goes outside i dont want it in the living room on my new (ish) carpet. i could clear the coffee table and bung one on there i spose.

ohhh i am so good at moaning :)

Have you considered a travel cot ? When we had ds2 we got one like this
so we knew he was out of the way of his older brother and cats, if you are tight on space they do a mini version we didnt use the moses basket we purchased as this was so easy to collapse and move upstairs and much more study after the first week the basket felt flimsy.

Also good for a play pen when they sitting up :money: hth :)

Woo we appear to have a new car! Parents have been down today and were talking about replacing theirs anyway - so they've decided to do this sooner, took our old one away and left us with theirs - which is smaller but has more space inside because of how it's designed... means that we can have the car seats right back without it jamming the baby seat in as well.

Wow that took a lot of faffing around - thought I'd be able to upload the photo from my Samsung Galaxy Ace straight into flickr, but it didn't like it for some reason, so had to email it to myself, save the file to my PC and upload it from there.

Hope this works and isn't too massive - will edit it to a link if it is massive.

Yep I have a very large holdall that i picked up from debenhams for myself. I seem to have loads of stuff in it already for "just incase". Babies bag is good to go. I could do with a few more blankets and cot bedding too.

Ok so I was keen to try and be a domestic goddess now that I'm on maternity leave but if truth be told, I cant be arsed! :rotfl:. I have done less now that I have more time than I did before looooool

Blame my pregnant brain - I meant changing bag!!! I got a small suitcase that cangoas hand luggage from TKMaxx, and very happy with it for my hospital bag.

Cleaning is taking back seat here too... Looking forward to getting the cleaner. Feeling down today, our cot is still not fixed, we drilled a hole to put a different screw, but it just didn't work, thence made another hole and a different screw and the screw head just snapped! We tried to remove it with no success, will try again soon as trying to charge our drill again so can try removing with that. It is just not a very good day. Spend few hours trying to get it sorted, and it is still a mess! I really need this thing sorted,as it getting me down a lot and our nursery instead of getting closer to being sorted is getting closer to a big mess!
Gin I haven't sorted out hospital bag yet but am writing a list - OH said it looks like I am taking everything except kitchen sink lol I need to plan for being in longer due to c-section... that's my excuse anyway :p Am thinking of packing two bags, one for me and one for bubs, last time I had it all in one and it was a pain having to take everything out to find things.

I got the list rom another forum, and it is more or less there, few more things missing, and some bits for OH. I have 2 bags as well, one for me and one for babies.

Hi ladies, hope you're all ok.

nice to hear from you lovecrafting, fingers crossed little Isla doesn't need any more treatment for the jaundice!

Well, I'm not doing very well at this relaxing lark now I'm on maternity leave, I thought I'd be bored but I haven't had time to be yet! Today i've been out for tea and cakes with my parents then mum and I walked to the hospital so i could show here where to go if she needs to come when I'm in labour. I've also done some cleaning and some of my cross stitch and I'm pooped now!!! I'm going to make pizzas in a minute but thankfully I have already made the dough and sauce so not too much to do now!

The lovely Snoopy gave me some raspberry leaf capsules to take so I've started on them today.

Hospital bags......I have 3 packed! one for me, one for baby and then the changing bag. None of them are full (well not quite!) but it makes it easier to find things as I don't have to root about in one big bag for everything.

Do you know what, I completely forgot about changing bag. I have a free one I got from boots but dont think it will be nearly sufficient. Which one did you go for? I think we would need a large one, and I would also want one that isn't too girly so OH can use it too.

Eek you guys have been busy!

Congratulations to Gopppers and so glad to hear Isla is progressing well lovecrafting, shame about the mil though glad your OH is being supportive!

Emsbet, I must thank you for pointing out to someone else that Boots does maternity tights! I needed some for my sister's wedding as my legs look blooming awful and the only nude ones that weren't 'one size' (am 5'11" so one size ain't gonna fit all!) were the Spanx £25, bring on Boots' £6 lots of sizes, look and feel lovely and much more MSE!

Also stopped by M&S today to pick up the £5 for 2 nursing bras I ordered online, I think Mishka gave a heads up on this a few pages back (sorry if it was someone else!) returning the 2 for £30 I bought last week that are virtually identical - all these buys give me more money to spend on our LO!

Loving maternity leave, we sorted our bedroom today, good old dust and hoover and with a bit of a declutter we'll soon be ready! I have no idea what I'm going to wear as a 'mum' now my work clothes are packed away, I'd been feeling a bit frumpy pre-baby so not sure what I'll end up in, I quite fancy a change, maybe a new haircut next week will help!

Hey Kelda, if it's the one I'm thinking of its linked under the EDD list (last seen updated by Emsbet on p333) before the birth list (sory I can't work out how to just post the link!)

Ladies, a potentially silly question, are any of you planning on trying to set a routine when LO gets here?DH said today, so what do we do when we bring her home, like planning feeds and sleep times etc, and I realised I feel panicked that I have no idea and was just going to see how it goes, but now it all feels very real I don't know whether I'd feel calmer to have a plan - so my question is, is it mad to try to set a routine for a newborn?
