I have to say I haven't enjoyed pregnancy that much but to know in a short few weeks we will be mummies is amazing
Its also very real as most of the babies being born now were on the ttc thread and then the earlier pregnancy threads at the same time. 9months has flown.

Hello! Congratulations on starting your break. You are much better organised than me. I know I will be jumping the queue too, just hope that not by too much. I don't have bath either, or baby monitor. I still need one more cot and probably few more blankets, towels, etc. I am still looking for the feeding pillow in eBay, and haven't chosen a hospital bag either. Have you got one yet?

I am quite keen on having a short break from the house as well, probably about end of August/September time. It is not just a holiday,but also proving to myself that I am not completely house bound and we can do things. I am under no illusion that this would be a hard work, but I think it would be useful.

Mine will drop from nearly £2300 to the same amount. Not looking forward to that!

Hi Gin

Yep I have a very large holdall that i picked up from debenhams for myself. I seem to have loads of stuff in it already for "just incase". Babies bag is good to go. I could do with a few more blankets and cot bedding too.

I was looking at Aug/Sept for a break too. I love holidays, its one of the few pleasures I have in life and I am trying to make it happen if I can. I think I'll play it by ear and see what the girls characters are like first.

Ok so I was keen to try and be a domestic goddess now that I'm on maternity leave but if truth be told, I cant be arsed! :rotfl:. I have done less now that I have more time than I did before looooool.

Oh, my wages will drop ridiculously too and we will be living off a combination of our savings and OH's income. I'm not entitled to any benefits whatsoever and will only get child benefit until April next year. Not really complaining because we can afford to, but its just things to take into account.

I really shouldn't be watching "maternity ward" should I?:o

Hope everyone is ok

Wow love crafting I think I'd have slapped you MIL by now. Cheeky cow! Good hubby will stick up for you tho.

Glimmer yes my obs consultant is based at Watford but I see him and have scans at Hemel Hodpitsl where I live. It was a private scan today as our local hospitals don't normally tell the sex, so.......

We're having a boy!!!

They gave a sneak preview of the 4d scan too and the boy was being shy but then he moved his hands from his face. We gotta sneaky pic now of him now. He's using the placenta as a pillow, definitely my boy :-) Maybe I'll upload a pic later if I can remember how to do it.

Need to do lots of tidying/cleaning as got some ppl coming for (hopefully) a BBQ tomoro. No rest for the wicked ;-)

Sorry to be off topic, but Moon will be home from work in about an hour, and I need to get this scroll for inside my bottle written. I've composed another couple of verses to go with the one I found online. Do you think anything needs changing?

This first year is still just the two of us
But soon the family will be three;
Just like the Musketeers
Us versus the world with little Bean

Time has flown so quickly
Since our special day;
You are my soul mate and best friend
I can’t imagine life any other way

Here’s to our future together
As husband and wife;
And to loving each other
For the rest of our lives

Just a quick one from me, have pinched OH's computer while he has gone for a lie down :p

Congrats Goppers :DEnjoy your cuddles!

Good luck today with the induction Safesound, looking forward to hearing your news :)

Sexymouse I think the poem is lovely :) Happy anniversary for tomorrow :)

Lovecrafting Glad you and Isla are home, sounds like she is doing very well from what the midwife said :D Your MIL sounds like a darling :p Keep winding her up, you never know, she might go home early :)

Congrats on the scan Little Miss :)

Gin I haven't sorted out hospital bag yet but am writing a list - OH said it looks like I am taking everything except kitchen sink lol I need to plan for being in longer due to c-section... that's my excuse anyway :p Am thinking of packing two bags, one for me and one for bubs, last time I had it all in one and it was a pain having to take everything out to find things.

Happy I am wondering too, keep taking out pics of DS and wondering how similar this little one will look :o Think DS has enjoyed looking through them too - except the ones of him in the bath :rotfl:

Have a good day all :)

I think that is perfect sexymouse. It has all the sentiment without being over the top if that makes sense. I'm sure he will love it.

LMMS - congrats on being team blue. They really are ace boys are. Bet you are even more excited now you can start planning and buying for a little man.

Thanks ladies! It means a lot to hear your opinions and best wishes. Now to work out what size paper I'm going to need. I found out that half my shells won't fit through the neck of the bottle as it narrows towards the bottom, but it still looks good with the little ones that are in there. Will try to take a pic once it's done.
