    Afternoon all and Happy Easter.

Having a very lazy day so far as have a bad headache. Been up and had breakfast and gave Moon his present and card (he loved them) but havent got dressed yet. Need to get up soon to have lunch before we go over to my Mum and Dad's. MIL came over with a bottle of champagne for our Anniversary earlier but I obviously can't drink it and Moon hates champagne so looks like it will have to be regifted.

Well good luck to any ladies who are hatching babies today.

    Hugs to those feelimg emotional/frustrated/poorly.

 afternoon all, I'm back from my trip.

My throat is getting worse so I've just eaten a feast lolly while sitting on the sofa under a duvet (forgot to leave the heating on while we were away so it was only 12 degrees when we got in brrrr freddo2.gif)

Hope your throat gets better soon Happy and your headache goes SM. Glad moon liked his present. What did he get you?

He was going to get me a voucher for a facial (my request), but as the place I go to wasn't open on Friday, he's made me a "Moon voucher" to spend on what I want to, complete with a "Moon bonus" that can be exchanged for a kiss lol. He gave me a lovely card too. :) Hope your throat feels better soon emsbet. If you like pesto, you could try some green pesto on something, as basil is a natural anaesthetic and antiseptic, so good for sore throats.

Aww you two are too sweet :)

I do like pesto but I only have red pesto in which doesn't have much basil in it. I'm just going to keep up my fluid intake and take some paracetemol if I really start to struggle.

  • Can we join in with the lethargic mood that's set in today? We don't do Easter so don't feel the urge to devour Easter eggs, but we are joining in with the eating carp all weekend, so don't worry!!! We had 7 round for dinner last night, spent what feels like the past 2 days cooking and baking non-stop, which means we had a house full of food (and now have a house full of leftovers)... oops!

We have a wedding next weekend, on Wirralshire, my DW has a lovely (but plain boring) navy blue maternity dress, which we bought a while ago and it fits perfectly, but is somewhat boring for a spring wedding. The Tesco baby club catalogue thing has a lovely dress, at a bargain £10, but the website has no mention of this dress. Grrrrr! Any good websites/companies to recommend which might be an option?

Both our butts are firmly stapled to the sofa today, might go out and get some fresh air tomorrow... maybe! :)

PS the query of routine brought up similar answers to what we have read, ignore the first few weeks but then try to develop a pattern. It helps if you have an idea as to what you want the pattern to be, but don't complain if it can't be followed to the letter.

PS We've enough chocolate in our house to sink a battleship...

PS Why is it that every bank holiday weekend we have in the UK, the weather is always carp?

PS Why is it that I'm always happy when others hatch, but concerned that there are quite a few hatching over the next days, which will push us up the list quite fast?

PS Did anyone else notice how many are due between June 8-15?

Ww2br has your wife thought of dressing up the dress with some colourful accessories instead of buying a new dress? A nice shrug/wrap, jewellery, bag and shoes could brighten up the dress and make it look more suitable for a spring dress.

I think my !!!! is stuck to the sofa, I may need help in peeling it off. I'm like a sergeant major today an poor Callum is like my young charge. Bump is twitching like something gone wrong and is beginning to look a little bit freaky. Oh please arrive young man so I can move again without the aid of a following wind!!!

WW2BR - you are so ace trying to find all these things out for your wife. I have no clue about dresses and the like cos I'm a real tomboy at heart. I agree with Emsbet though and even the most conservative of outits can be brightened up with a few well chosen accessories. I expect your wife doesn't really feel like going and trying dresses on so I would think that's a good option.

I'm sure little man will come soon happy.

My little wriggler is having a rest as I haven't felt him/her today (think I felt something yesterday). I know at this early stage it can be a few days between feeling movements but I miss the reassurance it gives me :o

Still on the sofa, had a nap and I'm now watching Mary Poppins.

  • Finding accessories that don't make a pregnant female look and feel as if they're 60+ years old is not easy. It appears that all nice and colourful spring accessories are from the 60s/70s, loads of flowers, and don't appeal.

However, we found something from Mr T, which might work?

Why is it that people see maternity clothes, or even the word pregnant, and just like marriage, triple the price. Just because it's a big thing, so they expect people to want to spend a fortune...?
