:rotfl:I was tempted to mute the TV everytime she came on.... the woman never stops  Great voice but everything in moderation and all that0 -
Even her own children wanted her to shut up. Bet they can't wait to start school!!!
So what you going to do with your day Jovi?DS1 born June 2000

Both the kids and the husband looked thoroughly fed up to me, I think the bit that really got to me was when she mentioned (for the thousandth time) that she used to sing opera professionally and then said something about how it didn't prepare her for being a mum.... I used to be a recruitment consultant and that didn't train me to be a mum either although I have no idea why/how it would
I don't think there was any one single instance when the camera was on her that she didn't mention being a singer... as you can see I had a rather bad reaction to her :rotfl:
Not sure what am going to do with today yet (although it's almost lunchtime so better get a move on), am still sat in my PJ's atmHave to go shopping in a bit and might nip up to my mums in a bit - she keeps asking me what I still need for the baby and if I don't give a definative answer soon will probably end up with the most random collection of items :rotfl:
What you up to?0 -

I'm the opposite, my scan put me earlier. I am 40 weeks from conception tomorrow. But according to scan dates 40+9 tomorrow.0 -
Think I'm gonna try and move the furniture in my room round today and sweep and mop all the floors upstairs. That is my ambition. How sad is that!DS1 born June 2000

Congratulations to Snoopy and good luck Gopppers and Flutterby!
Really should get motivated to get dressed as the dog will start going crackers for a walk soon but I'm soooooo tired today! That blooming maternity bed mat makes me sweat and stick to the sheets so I might have to ditch it and take the risk instead!
DH has gone out to meet a friend for lunch and I'm jealous, I want Wagamama noodles! Think a nice sandwich with crisps might have to be demolished instead!
Re hormones, I cried when I got home after work because of the tiny shoes they bought for our LO, I can't wait to see the tiny toes that keep popping out of my ribcage!
Totally agree the opera woman on OBEM drove me nuts, not my taste in music, also the idea of leaving my LO with a complete stranger whilst cleaning up the toddler horrified me!
Don't push yourself too much Happy, is DS around to help with moving some of the furniture?!0 -
I would ditch the sheet Amymo if it means you aren't sleepin properly. The chances that your waters will go in bed are actually pretty low. I'd maybe just whack it back on a couple if days before your due date.
Yes DS is about but he is being a pain in the bum today. Think he's feeling a bit hemmed in and bored but I have no clue how to entertain him in my current state. A slow jaunt round sainsburys doesn't really do it for him! Awkward sod.DS1 born June 2000

Hi ladies (and guy)
You guys talk so much its brilliant :T. Its my first day of maternity leave today too and it feels a bit weird. We missed the delivery of our car seats and pushchair yesterday which is very annoying but have rescheduled for Tuesday. I feel bad for my neighbours as they are forever keeping parcels for me, but I'll be home now for all parcels going forward.
So, I'm trying to make sure I'm ready for the girls so I can really kick back and relax. Only thing left really is to put the bedding on the cots, put last last few bits in my hospital bag, get top & tail bowl/baby bath, get baby monitors.
I'm a bit housebound as OH has taken the car to work and i'm not very mobile. I'm trying to arrange a visitor for a couple of hours each day so i don't get too bored.
Oh and I expect to be a queue jumper (soorrreeeeeeeeee:p) as I will find out next week when they will induce/csec me depending on the babies final position. So its likely that they will come before 23rd April.
Questions for you ladies, how soon after the babies are born do you think its reasonable to take the girls on holiday. Is 4 months too soon? I'm thinking long hall flight but should I just stick to short haul to start? I'm desperate for a holiday!:o0 -
Hi Dashikii, congrats on starting maternity leave. Now it's time to rest up and take it easy before your little ladies put in an appearance.
With regards to holidays I'm not sure what the advice is these days. I know when my DS was born you were told to wait until after the injections which were at 3 and 4 months. We took him on holiday to Cyprus when he was 6 months old and, if I'm honest, it was very stressful. I wasn't breastfeeding so the amount of stuff to take was horrendous and I did wish I hadn't gone. It depends on your circumstances and what kind of holiday you are thinking of.DS1 born June 2000
