    Morning Ladies.

Laura, thanks for the link, I've just been and got a voucher, it started with 5000 to give away and there are only 155 left so be quick if you want one!

Dinah, congrats on the arrival of you (very) little one, glad to hear she's doing well. Please keep us updated, I'm sure we'd all love to hear how she progresses.
On a weird note, I managed to fit into a pair of pre pregnancy trousers last night to go out. I was so shocked, must have ate as much as I though. Happy was very happy!!!

This weekend I have worn a dress and a top, both of which are size 10 non-maternity!!! I was sooooo sick of my boring, wintery maternity clothes so I had a good rummage in the wardrobe and tried a few bits on. the rest of my pre-preg clothes wouldn't have a hope in hell of fitting me, especially as I tend to go for more fitted styles, but these are both quite loose/floaty so i squeezed in ok....not bad going for 35 weeks!
Do I have to wash all the baby clothes does anyone know?

I have washed everything for baby (all clothes and bedding) as you don't know who's touched it in the factory and shop before you got it home. Plus things can have a slight residue of chemicals on from the machines used in the manufacturing process and I believe they also sometimes spray things with chemicals to make them look nicer. Another reason too, whilst I'm not exactly big on ironing, i didn't fancy baby looking like I'd just unfolded him/her from a package with the creases you get in stuff that's come straight out of a packet if that makes sense?!

Had a lovely lunch with Snoopy yesterday, I also had the bakewell tart but with custard. Was slightly better for main course and had tuna salad but HAD to have chips with it....it's the law lol! Oh and I won't mention that I had fishcakes, chips and beans for tea!!!

Thanks for the replies about the hood bit on the moses basket. I had a look at snoopy's yesterday and worked out what to do with it. the people I had got it from hadn't really got it connected at all but its all sorted now, although its not the most sturdy thing ever!!

I now have 2 days at work after today :D:j I can't wait!!

Thanks for this, just got my coupon.

Congrats to Dinah - what a beautiful name you have chosen. Are Grace's middle names family names?

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine today. Does anyone here suffer with hayfever? And if so are you taking anything for it at the moment? I get it really bad and it's just started this week. I saw the doctor last night about what I can and can't take. First he told me to take Piriton, but that's no good because I can't keep awake if I take that and I need to be awake at work. So then he said I'd be fine to take cetirizine (Zirtek). However, when I looked at the leaflet in the packet of cetirizine I had at home it said "do not take during pregnancy".

So I was a bit confused but I've ended up taking one as I've also got a nasty insect bite on my leg which is itching like crazy and driving me mad (kept me up all last night). When I showed the bite to the doc yesterday he just said "leave it alone and don't put anything on it". But this morning it's all swollen and angry looking and I think it might be infected so a trip to the walk-in centre after work might be in order.

Actually, I'm also wondering whether I should have asked for a prescription for the cetirizine so I don't have to pay for it.....

Hmm, just been out for lunch, now I couldn't say LO has dropped, but my bump definately feels heavier when I'm walking around and I have a bit more pressure so hopefully that's a good sign as I have absolutely no idea which way around she is and it's still a week til my next MW appointment (36 weeks). Unit tour at last on Sunday though, looking forward to that!

Elelyn, I'm a fellow hf sufferer but have decided to just try with eyedrops and stay away from the long grasses this year as I'm trying to avoid all meds, they make me so drowsy and I've yet to find a none drowsy that's OK to take in pregnancy, no advice sorry, just my sympathy, could be worth a visit to the docs about the bite though

Congrats Dinah. Aswell as lovecrafting Im sure if you have any questions or need anything janninew would love to help. Im sure her little poppy was born at 28 or round about xx

Yes Gillyx is right, Poppy was born at 28+3 so very similar to you. She was the same weight as your little Grace at birth.

Congrats Dinah, PM me if you want any information or support. It truly is a roller-coaster of emotions and you will have good days and bad days. Very good that she doesn't need ventilating, is she on CPAP? Poppy wasn't ventilated until day 6 when she got sepsis and then spent 57 days on CPAP. Before you know it you will understand all the medical terms and you will become very confident caring for your little lady.

I found this web-site to be useful and have even rung the advice line for support.

Aww, one of my lovely (male) colleagues has just popped in and brought me some lovely baby clothes. He's even been and bought them himself...how lovely is that?! The monster baby is a very lucky little thing! It's such a male orientated environment here that you don't tend to get much fuss so its extra nice when someone does something like that, it's really made my day!

That's a very nice gesture Lisa. You never think of men doing that kind of thing off their own back.

That was nice of your colleague Lisa. Enjoy your last few days at work.

I've only just eaten my lunch, I had a big salad with mint and pea Houmous and a bag of crisps, but I'm now contemplating eating a mini feast ice lolly!

Been for my little wonder down to the shops and decided to get a cake that DH would like too so got his favourite, banoffee pie. I told him and he said "is that the one I don't like?"!! I told him that he better bl00dy well like it as it was from M&S and cost £3.99! Ungrateful toad, I'll just eat it all if he doesn't like it ;)

Well you have picked the one dessert I don't like. How very dare you!!!
Though I am partial to a feast lolly, especially the mint one.
