Lovely pic Dashikii, you're carrying them really nicely!
Not sure about BH in your back Happy, I had something similar a few weeks ago that my friend said could have been sciatic nerve pain0 -
It does look uncomfortable Dashikii. I have no idea clue how you are still working. You must be super woman.
Well I had my bath and these pains are just getting worse. My poor DS is panicking and reading his biology text book. He's too cute. Can't exactly phone up the hospital with a bad back can I? Think it has to be more than that.DS1 born June 2000

Its ridiculously uncomfortable and I'm only doing it cos we need the cash and I know that it means I get to spend more time with them on the other side. I finish work next week so only need to bear it a little longer.
I really do think your back pain could be the start of your labour. I googled back pain and labour (i know we really shouldn't google and google is not our friend, but I couldn't resist) and think its worth giving your midwife/hospital a call. The worst they can say is no you're not etc but atleast you will know.0 -
Gorgeous bump pic dashikii.
Happy, your son sounds wonderful bless him. if you aren't sure if its the start of something just call delivery suite, its only a phone call I'm sure they will be only toohappy to give you advice.
our baby its doing its best to escape tonight, sticking out do while its having a stretch I'm surprised its not jumped out my tummy, seriously its like something out of alien!0 -
Dashikii, wow you look amazing for being so far along with twins, gorgeous bump pic.
I would put mine up but have no idea how to do it.
Happy, how are you now? I have had a bad back but nothing like that really, just aching so cant advise.
Dinah - congrats on the birth of your precious little one, hope you are looking after yourself hon.
Hello to everyone else.0 -
Happy, not sure if I'm too late but if it's the real deal, having a bath can slow your labour down! Unless it's really painful then it will help ease it for a bit I guess xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Hey Flutterby, how are you? My back is still the same. The pain goes completely and then just comes back in a wave for 30 secs or so and then goes again. It's quite unnerving me.
Gilly, I had my bath but couldn't stick it for very long as it was super uncomfortable. I know ive been through labour before but last time my waters broke so it was more obvious and I have no real clue what contractions feel like. Thanks for the advice and I'll stay out of the bath next time.DS1 born June 2000

Happy. One of my many books says the first stage can be anything from mild to severe back pain. If it is coming in waves maybe you need to time them. I would call the delivery suite just to be on the safe side nit sure how much detail they go into in a biology text book ;-)Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. I'm ok thanks happy love
no nearer to any solution with work though. I rang them yesterday, spoke to headteacher and asked if i could go back 4 days. I really only want to work 3, but we will see what she says. I would contemplate the 4 day a week but defo not 5. I went to a friends today and she suggested getting the union involved, never thought of that, so i joined today to get them on board as she doesnt think work have a valid business reason for declining my flexible request.
Just made some food for mine and DS's picnic tomorrow with my bro's gf and nephew so should be a nice day.
Hope you backache eases hon, fingers crossed. I was induced last time so i would not know when to go to hospital and cant even remember what my contractions felt like lol. Feel like a first time mum.
OH still at work (again!!) so think i am going to bed to read andrea mcleans confessions of a good girl book, looks good.0 -
That's a good idea with regards to work. It does seem unfair after it has been arranged and agreed to change the goalposts and employers do have to show a degree of flexibility. And it's not like they are a tiny employer so you would think they could be more accommodating. Maybe they are just chancing their luck and hoping you will agree with no resistance.DS1 born June 2000
