Happy. One of my many books says the first stage can be anything from mild to severe back pain. If it is coming in waves maybe you need to time them. I would call the delivery suite just to be on the safe side nit sure how much detail they go into in a biology text book ;-)

My midwife told me on Wednesday phone if my waters broke, I lost any blood, or if I was having 3 contractions every 10 minutes so I feel a bit daft phoning to be honest. Think I might have to though cos it's making me a bit twitchy.

Get them phoned, you will panic and worry if not.

Yeah work are being unfair, will see what they come back with.

Off to bed now, night night all, happy, good luck......

Wow Dashikii that is a beautiful bump! :) But yeah, I can imagine it's an effort lugging that around!

Exciting, happydays, I reckon this could be it for you!! Hope your son is ok and not too worried...! Hope you've given the hospital/midwife a ring by now to see what they say.

I bought my car seat today :) My nan offered to buy it for us, but said if we could get a good deal online then she'd just give us the money. I bought it from Boots, with a 20% off code, which took it (Maxi Cosi cabriofix BTW) down to £104, but they gave me the points based on the full price, so I've got £18-worth of points, too :D (I still think it's a helluva lot of money to spend on something we're only likely to use for 9 months, though...! )

I have phoned and they have told me to keep an eye on them and time them and phone back if they get more frequent. Said it could be false labour they just don't know but don't need me to go in.
It seems a bit early to me as I have just under 3 weeks left but we shall see.

Good bargain on the car seat BB

Have you called the hospital happy? Like others have said it does sound like things might be starting off or you. It can't hurt to call.

    Beautiful bump picture Dashikii.

    xx

ETA cross posted with happy. My sister's second was born three weeks early. I hope if it isn't labour it stops soon so you can rest and your son can put his book down and relax.

Thanks Emsbet. He has put down his book and is in bed now. He was funny cos he said to me if the baby comes could I just wait until grandad gets here cos he doesn't fancy delivering him. I did tell him I was hoping the hospital was going to do that. Think it's even put him on edge a bit cos he's told me to wake him up if I need him.

Thanks Gilly. It's just that it's not going off thats making me wonder what's going on. This bit could last for days though couldn't it so best just try not to fret about it. Gonna go and lie in bed and watch tv. Just can't get comfy.

Have you got a TENS? If you do whack that on it'l help. You could also put a hot water bottle on your back, just don't put it near your tummy. Do you know if baby is back to back?

I know youve done it before but eat as much as you can, I wish I had.

No I don't have a TENS. I'm not sure which way baby is lay but I know with Callum he was back to back and I only ever got pain there and not in my tummy. I've got a wheatsack thing on my back at the minute and have just took some painkillers. I'm not organised enough to have him just yet!!
