My headache I had all day yesterday is still here. I think it could be hayfever as I've suddenly got more sniffly too. I'm never sure when it's hayfever and when it's a cold when it first starts as I've only really had it for a few years.

    xx

I'm the same emsbet, I always think I'm getting a cold and then it turns out to be hayfever. My symptoms don't seem too bad today but I've got a terrible sore throat and I don't know if that's the hayfever or something else.

DH moved the furniture around in our room to make space for the moses basket yesterday. I'll need to sleep on the other side of the bed so i am nearest to baby so we decided to swap sides last night so we can get used to it........it's horrible!!! i kept nearly falling out of bed. plus I was sooooooo hot in bed too, I seem to have suddenly got to the stage where I'm not sleeping that well. yesterday I was at work an hour early as I'd been awake since 4am so thought I might just as well get up lol! i did get to go home an hour early and enjoy the sun though!

Lisa, DH and I swapped sides recently too. We swapped because of me having to sleep on my left side now and if I'm on my side I have to face "out" of the bed not into the middle iyswim. It did feel strange but I've got used to it.

I went to the walk in clinic about my insect bite this morning and as I suspected it is infected. The swelling is huge and it actually hurts to put weight on that leg at the moment. I've been given a low dose of antibiotics but I've been instructed that if it doesn't go down or the swelling gets any bigger (the nurse drew a circle on my leg in biro - very attractive!) I must go back to my GP.

Hope everyone else is okay today.

Elelyn I hope your bite goes down. Hopefully the antibiotics will sort it out.

Not sure who it was going on about a cheese ploughmans sandwich today but I've just had to go and buy one. You ladies on here are very naughty!!! My pains seem to be a lot better today although when I'm walking I am officially a crawler now as it feels like something has dropped and is literally teetering on the end of my food waiting to erupt.

Hope your scan goes ok Laura

Hope the antibiotics kick in soon Elelyn

Glad your back is feeling better happy

I really should go make some lunch but can't be arsed!

Been having a mini worry day today. Wish my midwife appointment was sooner, I'm desperate to know all is ok. I'm so tempted to get my fetal heart monitor thingy out (I bought it last time I was pg) but I promised DH I wouldn't use it. He's concerned if I can't find the heartbeat I'll just worry and he's right but I can't help thinking that I'd feel better if I did find it. Keep looking at picture of other people's 16 week bumps and worrying mine isn't as big (of course my irrational brain ignores those that are smaller :rotfl:). My bump doesn't look bigger than at 14 weeks but it looks rounder.... I think.

Emsbet I'm sorry you are having a worrying day. I'm sure you are absolutely fine.
I bought a monitor and when I used it I couldn't find anything til about 19 weeks and was trying for a week or so before then. I found it didn't stress me because I'd read it may be hard to find but everyone is different so it's completely personal choice. Is it worth just calling your midwife and ask if you could be seen. I imagine with not working it is very easy to get into a mindset of worry as you have a lot more time on your hands than usual.

What are you going to have for lunch?

I know too much time on my hands is bad, I'm off into Bolton tomorrow to meet a friend so that will hopefully keep me occupied.

I'm going to have the same as yesterday, salad with maybe a feast lolly for pudding ;)

Emsbet, I have a a friend at work who is due four days after me and who is also carrying a boy. Our bumps look nothing alike though! Hers is much bigger and neater....I'm conviced I still just look fat! :D I spoke to the midwife about it who was very reassuring, bump's come in all shapes and sizes. I know it's hard not to worry but please don't get too stressed about it :) Your next appointment will be here before you know it :)

Don't worry Emsbet I still haven't really got much of a bump. I think I had a little bit of a spare tyre to be begin with so now I just look like I have a bigger spare tyre I guess. I also know people similar stage to be with nice rounded bump or even a couple of weeks behind that look nicely pregnant, where as I just look plump.

OH bought one of these monitor things last week. I was worried incase we couldn't hear anything and I'd panic. When we got home OH confessed that on the way home he'd read the box and it said for use after 21 weeks, I'm only 16 and we can't hear a thing on it!
