Yeah my dh is squeamish as well although he did say he might have a peek but only if I let him, so will have to assess the look on his face before approving the peek. He has been known to nearly faint at the sight of blood and sick... but this is the birth of his child so may make exception to the "no looking" rule!

I'm afraid apologies are in order, I know how much you hate a queue jumper (especially one who was 48th on the list) however our beautiful baby was born at 12:45 on Monday weighing in at a tiny 1lb 15oz, at 28+0. We've decided to call her Grace Nancy Alison. So far she's doing better than expected, she hasn't even needed a ventilator and she came out crying. They told us it would be a week until they could give her some milk, but in light of how well she's doing they're now saying they'll try her on Wednesday or Thursday if I can express some by then. I'll do a more thorough account of her sudden entry into the world in the next few days. I was allowed up to meet her in the nicu tonight and she's amazing, I now can't sleep as I'm so impatient to see her again.

Wow, that is quite a jump! Congratulations of the birth of Grace, she sounds absolutely perfect xx

Happy birthday for tomorrow Goppers mine is next Friday and I wish people would stop telling me LO is coming on that date - its too early for him and like you want him to have his own birthday

Congratulations Dinah! :) I bet little Grace is a gorgeous little doll! Sounds like she's doing really well so hopefully she'll just go from strength to strength.

Can't believe we had virtually the same EDD but that your baby will (in theory, assuming mine isn't early) be nearly 3 months older than mine!

Make sure you look after yourself and try to get some sleep while you can, as before you know it she'll be home and keeping you up all night! ;)

Working from home today, got loads to do but the temptation to sit out in the sun is killing me!

Happy, your son sounds so sweet, bless him. He'll be a fab big brother! :)

congratulations hun, if you need anything at all please feel free to pm, i have been there and altho i cant say how you are feeling, i can empathise. its a rollercoaster of emotions and at times you will want to just get off that ride. its great that they are planning on giving her milk before she is +7 (premmies are measured in days until edd) please please make sure you remember that you need to eat and sleep. you need to make sure you look after yourself, Grace needs you to be healthy. not needing ventilation is fantastic (did you get the steroids in the end?) most of all congratulations.

I can't believe you are 16 weeks already! Time really has flown by. Although saying that I'm 28 weeks on Friday....third trimester!!!

Good luck with scan lovecrafting and love to Happy - I think you should celebrate 37 weeks with some chocolate. Obviously.

thank you, i think it was happy aswel that wished me luck and emsbet (who i am also a stalker) i am hoping they give me an eviction date today, my mum is off on holiday next week for 2 weeks so i need to sort out childcare, if she is growing well then they will probably change there minds and not evict. omg in 3 weeks i will technicly be term, how mad is that.

the cot is up. bedding washed. hospital bag still not packed.

i had a moan to my mother in law last night, we dont really get on but i have to say, she has been so supportive through this pregnancy, i was having a mad panic that baby is going to come wile my mum is away and i will have no one to look after the kids, she said she will come down from scotland as soon as she knows i am in labour and be here for as long as i need her. as much as she annoys me, i think it was so nice of her to drop everything, at her age and come down here to help out her daughter in law that she dosent even like verry much.. ask me a week after she arrives and i will be ready for murder lol.
  • My oh had a look when I had my son as the midwife told him to because he was born stargazing and his cheeks were all pushed up and he looked like he was smiling the biggest cheesy grin and he said he was glad he saw now

Wow Dinah, i can;t imagaine having a teeny tiny baby now and I was a week ahead of you! Sending lots of positive thoughts to both you and Grace.
  • Morning everyone

Congrats Dinah glad she is doing well so far. I can't imagine how tiny that is.

Happy birthday Goppers, hope you have a great day.

Good luck for your scan today lovecrafting

Emsbet hope you enjoy your first day off, such a gorgeous day outside :-)

Had an awful time yday with my hips. Got in from another heavy shift so sat on the bed around 4pm and was too painful too be so was literally stuck there til half six when OH got home :-( then the rest of the evening hobbling about. I have "loose" hips anyway so at high risk of SPD. Got a letter from Physio for me to ring to make an appt and was only referred Tuesday so hopefully not too long to wait.
Glad you've got your through too Triangle

Hope everyone has a good day

Aw Dinah congratulations on the birth of Grace, she has a lovely name and it sounds like she is doing really well x

Good luck today Lovecrafting, hope they get you seen in good time today!

I have made a pact with DH to do my hospital bag tonight as he's getting nervous, in return I'm getting dinner made and a foot rub :D

Had a mad dream that DH and I were out and about and he accused some guy of peeing on the floor, but it was my waters and I hadn't realised! Woke up at 5am, couldn't sleep for thinking of middle names for our LO, DH isn't sure about having a middle name at all, but I am lobbying for it! Got about 5 hours last night, to be fair, I'm pretty comfy for 35+4 it's just my crackers mind that doesn't let me sleep!
