Hi Gilly, do you really mean it?! Cos I think I'll miss my bump, it didn't arrive til I was 24 weeks so I haven't had as much time to enjoy it as others who start showing early!

Been keeping an eye out on the other thread, how's little man's reflux?

Forgot to add..those asking about pregnancy pillows... My lovely OH bought me this as a prezzie..it's from Argos ..was £19.99 and is really good although OH doesn't appreciate it taking up room in bed lol!

Have any of you ladies bought maternity knickers...normal knicks not disposable hospital ones...I've been buying cheapies from primark in bigger size than normal but they are starting to dig in a bit... I got a bigger size again from m and s but they are microfibre and roll down over my little bump.
Just wondered if anyone could recommend maternity ones..preferably over bump ones...or are they best suited for when I'm in 3rd tri?

YES. I do. I loved being pregnant. I sometimes lay in bed at night stroking my tummy, forgetting he's not in there any more :o I really do miss it, and am so jealous of all you ladies!

We're doing good, his medication has kicked in and he is on special formula for a cows milk protein intolerance. He's like a different boy now, can't believe it :) just sad it took so long to sort out.

Just a heads up for all you ladies who have popped or are about to pop, or would just like to join us over on the Facebook group, just drop me a PM and I will send you the link. We're a real friendly bunch! xx

Anyway, I was told to book my antenatal class and a breastfeeding class when I go the hospital for my 20 week scan. I am quite disappointed however to find out that the antental classes have been cut right down and I will only get one two and a half hour class. How can they possibly get through everything you need to know in two and half hours! I was looking forward to going to classes for a few weeks as well :( Still, I guess I can find out more or less everything I'll need to know on here!

I had booked NCT classes, but stupid OH's best mate decided to get married on the first one so had to cancel!!

I managed to get on NHS classes, I was really looking forward to meeting other couples and getting more info so that I could con myself into thinking I was slightly prepared.

I had three sessions 2-4pm, but to be honest they all finished early 3-3.15pm. All the stuff they told me I already knew and it wasn't that helpful, I know more from the weekly emails I get from the various websites than from what the instructor told me. They were more an attempt to sell council gym memberships for post natal exercise classes!!! She even used NCT resources like a flip chart and some hand outs. I suppose I can't complain they were free.

The first week there were about 15-20 couples, but the second week you could see some had gone and by the final week there were only about 7 couples left!!

The one good thing for my OH was because of the time of day he got to finish work early :rotfl:

I tried to book the breast feeding class, but they told me they were full :( so I can't tell you what that was like. I live in Cardiff by the way so it might be better where you are.
    Got married 13/11/10 :)

Can any of you ladies that are nearing the end of this pregnancy lark answer me a personal question? Has your discharge got loads more.
The last couple of days mine has increased loads and seems to be in big blobs. Is this normal?

Elelyn, round here we only get a one off 4 hour antenatal session. I can't book it until I'm 30 weeks (I hope they won't all be full, they only run once a week on a Saturday!) and you can only call and book on either a Tuesday and Wednesday between 11am - 1pm! :D

Amy, we've just watched OBEM too...I was sobbing my heart out :o What a lovely ending though, both boys were simply beautiful at 6 months old :)

    Hi all,
I managed to avoid having a headache until 4pm today :) so I took myself to my local children's centre to their prebirth to 12 month group. I've been trying to go for months but I can't leave the house or do anything really when I have a headache.
I'm not good at meeting new people so was a bit apprehensive but after awhile I settled in. It was lovely being out of the house and getting to talk to new mums about everything :)

I had a bit of a hissy fit last night basically feeling abandoned and isolated and like I'm alone. It was unfair on my OH as he's working really hard at the moment so that hopefully once baby arrives he can take time out to look after me and baby but I feeling overemotional and a wreck.

Going to the Children's centre once a week will hopefully help with feeling of isolation so that's good. It knocked me out though, I got home and went to bed for an hour :p

    Antenatal/Parentcraft classes
I asked my MW about them at my 20 week appointment. She looked surprised I asked but gave me a number to call to book them. In my area they're run over 3 weeks, 3 sessions 2 hours long. I booked the April classes because I though the May ones finished a bit close to my EDD and my OH's exams.
