Aw just watched last nights OBEM, Cory was such a love, it's amazing thinking that couple got their little baby out so early and so sad for them seeing everyone go home and they were just stood with the balloon, I'm a hormonal mess
I thought the dad at the end was so funny when the head crowned and he looked down and started swearing and then went kinda green
I swing from thinking "not long now" to, "oh my, it's really happening then" to "it's still ages away"! I also have this weird thing that even though the sonographer says we're having a little lady they can't say for sure and I love our girl's name and am attached to the idea of having a daughter now :rotfl:(so what if a little boy pops out?!)
DH thinks I'm slowly going mad, heaven knows what I'll be like when mat leave gets here in two weeks and I have all this free time!0 -

Lovecrafting, your DDs were all early weren't they, so is this the furthest along you've been? Was talking to a girl today who has just had her third, previous two were very early and she was saying it was strange for her to feel the big kicks and thumps at 34+ as she'd previously delivered really early0

Hey everyone. Had my 16 week appointment with the midwife this evening and heard the heartbeat which was quite amazing. Still can't believe it's actually growing inside me!
1 thing I forgot to ask was about antenatal classes. When do they generally get mentioned? Don't see the midwife again til 25 weeks but it seems quite late then to discuss it. Ideally I would like to get booked up somewhere and get a date in the diary!
I had my 16 week appointment on Monday (was a bit early because midwife is going on holiday). She had warned me that she might not be able to pick up the heartbeat on her little doppler thingy but she got it straight away - and I agree it's amazing!
Anyway, I was told to book my antenatal class and a breastfeeding class when I go the hospital for my 20 week scan. I am quite disappointed however to find out that the antental classes have been cut right down and I will only get one two and a half hour class. How can they possibly get through everything you need to know in two and half hours! I was looking forward to going to classes for a few weeks as wellStill, I guess I can find out more or less everything I'll need to know on here!

Hi Ladies .... Thought I would stop lurking and join this 'big' thread...I recognise a lot of you from the TTC thread, after I got my bfp I was spotting on and off for weeks and took myself off to lurk from afar. Thought I'd join this thread as its a bit chattier that the 12-24 wk thread...and there is a lack of babies due in August on the list!
I'm 20wk on Tuesday when I have my scan..eek...getting excited now...we don't want to know what flavour we are having.. we're going for a surprise but it will be lovely to see it again.
It's our first baby so seems a bit daunting at the moment.
Whichever lovely lady is capable of updating list..if you could add me next time you do it.... No rush..It looks like its been amended numerous times today lol.
Baby due 14th August0 -
I still miss all you ladies! I've not had much time to lurk recently but things seem to be settling down so I will be keeping my eye on you all
I miss being pregnant so much, it's scary! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
