I am having a reflexology treatment and a clary sage massage today, my friend is popping over to do them for me just before lunch, she did another friend of ours who went in to labour that night so I am hoping for some progress.

I cant honestly wait, they are so relaxing, after being up all night with ds's toxic bum and ds1's constant sniffles im knackered.

Welcome to the world Flynn! Congratulations Emmy!

I'm hoping this week at work flies over and although its gonna be a highly stressful one I'm anticipating an easier time of it in the following three weeks! I cannot wait to get to 37 weeks and feel like I can put work brain into a box and leave it there for a little while!

Hope LO has turned Laura, last MW appointment my LO was head down though I thought she was still breech, this week I have no idea which way round she is! I feel bits popping out but they could be feet, elbows, heads, I haven't a clue! Have tried to stay on my gym ball this weekend but my blooming ribs are still killing me so I kept bouncing off onto the sofa instead!

The missing car seat that the store manager was told is out of stock and that a refund has been processed has turned up in store today! I haven't got any email or anything about the cancellation and refund, I can only see it if I look very hard on boots.com in one place it says 'Yes'. So, the plan is we wait until the money appear in my account, and they will keep the seat in store for me, so I can then go and buy it again. Hopefully will be sorted soon with the car seats!

I am feeling very pleased with myself - my hard work did pay off and baby is now head down :0) Just hope it stays that way now!! She said she felt a nice strong braxton hicks while she was having a feel around too - well I couldn't lol, I didnt think I had had any yet!

Midwife appointment went very well, all good and to my suprise fundal height is almost spot on at 32cms!! Hope that means baby has had a growth spurt ready for my scan next week. All in all feeling very happy and positive at the moment.

Still not discussed my birth plan with her yet but will be on 2 week appointments now so maybe will be able to discuss it at the next one on 19.

Hope everyone has a lovely day, Ravenlady, hope you have managed to get things moving x

    Congratulations Emmy!

As anticipated Dr was most baffled why the dentist had sent me there for antibiotics... love being the ball in patient ping-pong. Although on the way out I DID see the Euromillions winning couple's missus's car parked by the shops - that must be at least another five stories in the Daily Mail since they managed to run one about it being parked in Tesco the other day... yes my life is so interesting the only thought I have when seeing a nice shiny lottery-winning car is "god I bet that's a git to park."

    Good morning ladies :)

Thank u for all of the congrats messages!

Well, first contraction was at 6.15pm, every 15 mins til 8, they werent painful really, just a bit stronger than BH! Then from 8pm, they were every 4 mins, 2, 6, 3, 4, 5, 3 mins apart, u get the picture! But still not really that painful. Had been having a show all day so I thought I was probably in real labour by now. Called the hospital and went in at 9pm. They still werent all that painful until she examined me at 9.30, I was 5cm. Within 5 mins they were suddenly very painful! But still 4-5 mins apart. 10.15, they went to every 2-3 mins, each lasting a minute. Took the gas and air from 10.45, as by then I felt I wasnt getting a break between the pains! I asked the midwife to check me at 11.15, and she said they normally only check for dilation every 3-4 hours!!! My waters were still intact, but at 11.25 i thought i felt them go, she checked me and said no its just a large bit of show :/ She did an internal at 11.30, said I was 8cm , but i was bearing down already, so so offered to break my waters......she did, and I was pushing with her hand still in me hahaha! He was out by 11.40pm :)

So so pleased he came before midnight so has the 03.03 birthdate :) Total time for labour is down on paper as 3hrs 10 mins. pushing stage is down as 10 mins. Pains were only regular and painful from 9.30 though, so i`m really chuffed with that!

Dh was amazing, even tho at one point i was on my side trying to crawl into him and away from it all haha!

Stay in hosp wasnt great at all. At 3pm yesterday they decided I needed to stay another night due to the Strep B. I refused, I know its selfish, but baby was fine, no one had done any obs on him in the 17 hours since he had been born, and i didnt how a few hours would make any difference at all. Plus, he had 3 big sisters eager to meet him! He is fine tho :)

i think thats everything, oh, no stitches, just a small 1st degree tear :)

And.......I made it all 4 babies being back to back and coming out face up ;) yay for my obviously dodgy shaped pelvis!! xxxx

Love crafting - your welcome for vouchers.

Does anyone have a hospital bag list?

I am almost 37 weeks so best get mine done.

Ended up in hospital this weekend, my urine was very dark brown, my vision blurred, very dizzy etc. they admitted me but all is fine now. Said I am anemic (sp?) and was severely dehydrated. I was given a scan and baby is no longer breech! So that's good for me.

Hope your baby has turned Laura.

How is everyone today? First day of mat leave today!!!

i hope your feeling better now, and the kids love there books. there is a hospital bag list somewere attached to the list that i cant find.

i know you are hoping to go into labour but i just thought i should post a quick warning for those who are not as far as you.

clary sage should NEVER be used before 38 weeks because it can cause severe bleeding and can cause miscarrage. unless you are using a qualified professional please do not use clary sage.
