  • Flutterby that is very organised. I think I've got about 4 packs and that's about it. I just don't know what size to buy. God I'm so unprepared.

I bought loads when they were on offer for £1 in asda, couldn't resist. I have bought some huggies when they have been on offer and also used the £2 coupon I got with joining the asda baby club.

I am an organised person and like to be in control.......If i have too many it is fine as my brother's gf is pregnant too so she can have them, due in August so by then mine will defo be too big for them.

I have about 30 packs of wipes too, and all the cotton wool, talc I will ever need in my life ;)

Haha yes with DD3, gave me mild period type pains...that was it :( I think from reading about it, u need to use an electric breast pump every other hour for an hour at a time for it to even have a chance of working :o Dont think I have the time/patience to both with that! I did see on one of those American birth programmes a lady being induced, but b4 they gave her the gel they hooked her up to the breast pump for a bit to see if it did anything. It didnt tho

Have spent the last almost 3 hours cleaning the inside of my car! It wasnt that bad, just the neighbour was talking to me for an hour of that, then a friend phoned so i sat in the car talking to her for 1/2 hour haha! It still not great but will have to do! It goes back to FORDS in 2 weeks for us to get our new car :) xx

Ah ok,not sure I have the patience, then again, feeling desperate now LOL.
Well done on getting your car sorted:T We cheat and take ours to a valet every month or so:o

Sorry to hear Ellie is poorly, sending lots of love and positivity to you and your family and your poor little mite.

Not read your story yet, but will do.

Lots of love and best wishes.

Bit of my practical experience some might find helpful.

I use a around 8-10 nappies a day, which is just over two packs a week, with each pack of nappies I use approx. 1 pack of wet wipes. I've used my left over maternity bed pads for changing mats for the bed, which has been great while we have been figuring out Sebs peeing during nappy changes.

I didnt really like the cheaper tesco muslins, I thought the yellow mothercare £12 for 6 were better quality. I would recommend lanosil nipple cream and ive given the savoy cabbages a go, and they have been excellent for cooling. I would also recommend the mama dummies, as they help when Seb just wants to suck rather than feed.

Asda first size baby grows are smaller fitting than mothercare newborn ones.

Well we get our new car in a few weeks, so i think the plan of action is going to have to be valet it every few months at the very minimum :o Not sure how much a valet even costs tho tbh???

Dizzi, Rennie make me gag lol, so i`m on the strawberry gaviscon chewables ;)

After that school run i feel like an old woman (dont worry i wont be rude :p) My hips and back feel so so stiff!!! xx

  • So I guess reading all your advice I really should get my backside in gear and sort some nappies out. I have a bit of OCD and I really hate clutter and so my main problem is where I can store them where I can't see them otherwise they would drive me mad. God I sound like an utter fruit loop today!!!

Wait a minute.... people valet their cars?! I just considered the layer of dust and dog hair to be protection against the elements! My car is seriously always going to be an embarassment - it was red in a former life and has faded so badly it's now pink in more than one place (apart from the panels my mum's crashed into and had replaced) - with a clean red splodge on the bonnet where the neighbour decided to see if his miracle car wax could actually perform miracles on our car.

I figure if it looks terrible it's the least likely to get nicked!
