Pop and chocolate, my cure-alls too Dizzi, rubbish about the supermarket, I must say people do seem to have pregnancy blindness, DH asked if we could move to a sofa table in a restaurant last week so I could rest my back, the manager said sorry they're for staff only tonight! Really helpful thanks!

Am I being daft? Went to get nursing bras last night at 31 weeks, was told to come back 2-3 days before my due date to buy them when thy can size me properly, but I doubt I'll want to be bothered to go into town 2-3 days before! Makes sense I guess to get the right sizing, but I just felt a bit daft for having even suggested I wanted to buy them now, they didn't want my money! :rotfl:

    Morning all,
*hugs* to everyone feeling a bit rough and labour vibes to those who want them.
I didn't come online yesterday so have missed quite a bit. What did happen yesterday was I felt well enough to leave the house alone for the first time all week :)
Walked into town (only ~15 minutes away) and took my Boots Parent club vouchers as they run out next week.

Had a voucher for free avent breast shells and the free changing bag if I bought a pack of Pampers new baby nappies so I thought I may as well use them.

I was really surprised because it turned out that due to the 3 for 2 Mix and Match offer the nappies were free despite the fact I wasn't paying for the bag or the breast shells and couldn't have got the bag without getting the nappies :)

Also, the Kiddicare sale ends on Wednesday and if you're thinking of buying anything from Kiddicare online before the 23rd March if you put in the voucher code 'blackout' when you get to the checkout you'll receive 5% off your order.

I also booked parentcraft classes for my OH and I in April - 3 classes of 2 hours each covering birth information, postnatal care and breastfeeding, active birth and water birth. Not sure how useful we'll find them but should hopefully learn something and meet some new people.

Today I'm feeling unwell again and my concentration is shot so cannot study :( hopefully it's just a bug and I'll recover soon - my birthday's next week and we're going away so really want to be better for then :)
plus my first assignment is due at the end of March and at the moment I haven't a clue what to do.

Hope everyone has a good day
    *hugs*

  • Had my appointment with the consultant today as I'm considered high risk from having a c section last time. I was expecting to be bullied into agreeing to deliver naturally (VBAC) but she was really nice and it looks like I've got another 6 weeks before I have to make some sort of a decision. If I knew I would definitely deliver naturally, then I absolutely would but I can't bear the thought of going through it all and ending up with an emergency section again.

    Hi Sally,

I'm in exactly the same position, I am veering toward the planned c-section this time but I have to go back and see consultant at 36 weeks to let her know what I have decided. There were a number of issues with DS, he was breech two weeks before and they turned him round manually, he weighed 9.6 when born and went two weeks over and was induced :o I think I am just a bit scared about it all happening again :o

I am fine, had tooth removed on Sunday by emergency dentist - not my idea of a relaxing weekend :p

Not quite sure what baby is playing at this morning, he won't stop wriggling and squirming, it feels like he is practising for the Olympics in there :rotfl:

Hope everyone ok - labour vibes to boldies :)

  • Morning everyone. My DS is off school ill today which is just what I needed. I certainly don't wish to be catching his lurgy cos he has a horrendous cough and I'm not sure my pelvic floor muscles could cope with the onslaught. They only just hold up when I sneeze these days.
Whoever it was talking about rude people, I also find a lot of the older generation very rude. Where I live there's only one supermarket in walking distance of the town and I avoid it like the plague and go to the out of town one. I refer to the in town one as a nursing home that sells groceries as the average age must be at least 80!!! I adore old people but not when they have trolley rage!!

  • Morning all

5 working daya left for me after today, due 5 weeks yesterday.

Sorry to hear you have all had bad sleep, I have all week, but managed about 11:30 til 6:40am when my alarm went off. Could fall asleep now though so it hasn't made the blindest bit of difference.

Have a good day all, labour vibes to all those who need them and are now fed up.....me included lol.

Well, we THINK it's pink - considering at the 20 week scan she shoved a hand out to shove the camera away and then proceeded to give us a nice view of her backside - we're working more on the absence of dangly bits than actual confirmation of non-danglies!

Going through yet another phase of kicks disappearing - but wriggles and "pops" (best way I can describe it) are still there so I definitely fit the feeling 10 movements category still - we get this every week or so as there's a change in position but it always still worries the living daylights outta me!
