I know what you mean by this - I was saying to myself I will be happy to get pregnant and enjoy every day of it. Ok, I am enjoying it, but I am also worrying a lot, and this tiredness is really getting me down. Got up this morning again, and all I can think of is another nap. I really need to get on with the work, so can't take another day off. Will need to talk to the consultant or midwife about this next week, as I am not sure I will be able to last until 30 weeks like this. If they don't do anything, I might have to go to GP and beg to be signed off for a couple of weeks...
My hips are still hurting, it seems to be worst at night, or after travelling. Tonight I was really struggling to even turn on the other side! But, I know it is all going to be worth it in the end.
We watched last week's OBEM last night, it was scary with the big baby, but so glad she is ok. Ready for today's one - especially as there will be the twins on!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Morning ladies.
Good Luck Keza and sitting. Keza, hope things are progressing well by now.
I'm sulking, just got in to work after a few days off and have an email from HR saying that as I am leaving I have to pay back the money they paid for a course I did through the local college. I did sign an agreement to say I would when i signed up for it but at that point I never expected to be leaving. And my friend left part way through a much more expensive course and never got asked to pay back a penny! Mine is £1300! DH isn't going to be happy, I'm dreading telling him!
Back to baby stuff, I feel like my bump has suddenly grown, starting to feel a bit huge even though I know i'm not really that big for almost 30 weeks. Feel like I really need to make a start on washing all baby's clothes and bedding now incase it decides to make an early appearance but its so hard to get stuff dry in our house and I'm worried about it not drying quickly enough and getting that horrible damp/stale water smell. I had originally intended to start doing it when I go on maternity leave as it'll be April so should hopefully get some decent days for drying outside but now I feel that it'll be too close to my due date by then.0 -
Good luck to Keza and Sitting today! And Molly - if my baby brain forgets, good luck for tomorrow!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Lisa, are you leaving the job completely or just a maternity leave?... If it is for maternity leave (even if you take a year off), I am not sure they can ask for the money back, as you are classed as employed.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

I'm leaving completely, taking redundancy. I'll have to pay it back, I'm just a bit gutted as I'd forgotten about it and also because I know other people who haven't been made to pay it back when leaving. That money would have meant I could have afforded to be off work for atleast 3 months longer before I started looking for something new.0 -

If it is a redundancy, I am not sure how can they ask for this money back... Maybe worth giving a call to CAB or ACAS or similar? I think if you are leaving on your own will or being 'let go' for a reason, then yes, but if it is a redundancy, I am not sure they have the right to do this (at least morally...)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Good luck to keza, if you're not having mummy cuddles already, and to Sitting for today! Finally some February babies!I'm leaving completely, taking redundancy. That's rubbish Lisa... Although if you know of others who were not asked to pay money back when they left, could you not use that as an argument?:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Oh, and I forgot to share - after nagging HR department about bank holidays, they have finally confirmed that I will accrue the bank holidays falling during the maternity leave as holiday days!!!! So, I will be coming back to 9 additional days off next year!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
