They are indeed Ro! I've had them for 8yrs and love them to bits :D

What paperwork do I need for child benefit and to register him for his birth certificate?

GILLY - Thanks, reckon I'm going to get it done. DH said he'll come with

No paperwork needed for birth certificate, can print off the forms you need online, and I think it's just birth certificate for child benefit :)

Good for you, I think it's preferable over the drips etc. Get OH to hold your hand :) xx

    Mozzy,
I think you have made the right decision- to take the sweep and take DH for support.

My first attempt at a sweep was horrid, but that was because i was not "ripe n'ready" for it. So i was induced with hormone ribbon for 24hrs (didnt work, just gave me a night of contractions and no sleep), and then gel, which got me from 0-6cm in 4 hours, really rather a severe and painful way of progressing!
In hindsight, i would FAR rather have had a sweep if i was ripe for one, than have to have the artificial labour start. They did sweep me when i was 6cm, and it wasnt really painful at all, as i was already so open.

I would say, go for it if they say you are suitable, if they say you are borderline and give you a choice, i would recommend you say no, as it will be much more uncomfortable when you are more closed..

Good luck hon, i am looking out for news, just cant alway post in response, with one hand, on my phone.

PS. i have 3 fur babies too. It has been a challenge in someways, with them wanting to jump in the pram- thankfully not when LO is in it, but i dont want cat fur and bum on the sheets where she is lying. Generally though, they arent that phased be her being there, more interested in sniffing her than anything else.

I'm done with being pregnant now and was so disappointed when the sweep didn't do anything. Got midwife on Wednesday so might try my luck then for another after blood pressure being high (and since settling). :o

Or its bouncing and pineapple for me too lol!! X

Thanks Kira. I'll see what the midwife says then. As you said, i might not even be a good candidate for it. Really really hoping something happens before then though. Thanks for the support xx ;)

Oh, and i found it was a really good opportunity to practice my labour breathing!! Really deep long slow breaths with a good out pant, really seemed to help. If you hold your breath you will tense up and that will be bad!

If your appointment is at the hospital, then you may be able to get them to give you G&A if you explain your fear and that you find smears very painful.

Quick question. I'm trying to put together a spreadsheet of everything we need to buy and in what quantities and just had a thought.

Where/in what is everyone planning on keeping the baby during the day as presumably you're not going to carry it all of the time?

Sorry if this is a silly question - I'm sure I'd discussed it with my OH before but I've got a mental block and haven't a clue what we said.

We actually use our Sola chassis with the pram top attached with an overnight/regular use mattress in it. Saves having to store the pram away and having a moses basket and stand as well.

I do have a sling as well but havent got around to trying it yet. Must do so soon!
