Quick question. I'm trying to put together a spreadsheet of everything we need to buy and in what quantities and just had a thought.

Where/in what is everyone planning on keeping the baby during the day as presumably you're not going to carry it all of the time?

Sorry if this is a silly question - I'm sure I'd discussed it with my OH before but I've got a mental block and haven't a clue what we said.

    A moses basket.

Some of my friends used the carrycot from the pram. My mum was dead against that idea though and was all for buying a second basket to avoid having to carry it up and down the stairs but fortunately the same friends have just moved on to a cot so I have borrowed their basket as a spare.

I can see how moving the moses basket up and downstairs would have been a hassle but at the same time was a but loath to buy another basket so it worked out as the best scenario for us :-)

Sometimes in the crib, or the pram in the front room, or the moses basket next to the dining table. If he's sleeping restlessly, on my lap, or on my bed on the pillow I fed him on. :D

I do not envy you at all, I went into labour naturally, and still needed the drip, and it still took me 10 hours to get from 5cm to 10cm  I had a 48 hour labour and thought that was bad, you're a hero.

Thanks hon, I'd say more bloody stupid than a hero for doing it again! I didn't want more for a good year though after first one....

im sure i have read somewhere to that the eldest can sit in the middle seat without a booster, both my boys are on boosters still and there is no way we could also fit a baby seat in the back too. luckily the clio has a proper seat belt that doesnt just go across your lap but over your shoulder too so ds1 will still be safe, i still want a bigger car though!! :D
    xxx

yes the law states the eldest (tallest) child can go in the middle with no seat if nessasary.

They are indeed Ro! I've had them for 8yrs and love them to bits :D

What paperwork do I need for child benefit and to register him for his birth certificate?

GILLY - Thanks, reckon I'm going to get it done. DH said he'll come with

Re paperwork think its worth locating your national insurance number if you don't know it as think you need it for child benefit form and re registering birth hubby registered at hospital no paperwork but credit check type questions but don't know if this is the same nationally

    Hope sweep goes ok xx
