Fingers crossed Lucy all is ok with Ben xx

Not sure on newborn pampers, but size 3 and above were only £3.24 a pack in Tesco yesterday......cheaper than when their baby even was on (£3.40 haha!)

I had a sweep with DD2, and consequently refused one with DD3, she actually came by herself just 3 days after her due date,so not too bad! This time however, i am sooooo desperate for him to be out I`ll take the sweep, actually annoyed its not even offered until 40+7....going to beg/demand/rant and rave at midwife for one on my due date! I`m not convinced how much sweeps actually work tho?? It def didnt for DD2, was 5 days later she finally came!

Hoping my girls 10 ft trampoline is defrosted by my due date, as u`ll be finding me out there boucing for England ;) xx

Lisa, I agree about the difference in the fetal medicine consultant and normal sonographer doing to scans, why did they get the normal ones to do it this time? Last time our baby was measured (26+6) s/he was just over 1.5lb so I guess our babies will be around the same size. We have our next scan with fetal medicine on 27th. Really looking forward to it and hoping that they will say the echogenic bowel has gone back to normal.

Yesterday I was at the local hospital. When I go to the Feto-maternal unit its at a biiiiiig hospital 80 miles away. Next scan is there 4 weeks today.

Fingers crossed they have good news for you on the 27th.
  • Well another great nights sleep...not!! :rotfl: Have woke up again feeling like I've been on a 10 mile run!! ( not that I would know what that feels like normally..just sore and achy!! :p)

Figure I might as well try everything thats offered to me to get things going naturally...its better than being induced (but if thats whats gotta happen so be it!!) So a little bit of pain and discomfort sounds good to me...might be the most glamourous thing we do in the next week and a half mozzy!! :rotfl:

Well my day again will consist of bed, ball and the tv!! Oh and a walk (read waddle!!) to the shop for some choc as my stash has run out and OH wouldn't get me any :(:(
  • Hi Lisa,

Sorry to queue jump in such a spectacular fashion. It is such a weird feeling, thrown everything I though out of the window lol.

Upside is meeting her early, and also I have agreed with work that I will now be finishing work for Mmaternity Leave, 3 weeks earlier than I thought on the 2nd March, and I have next week off, so I now actually only have 13 working days left - can't believe it, and have gone into a complete state of shock about how much work I have left to do in such a short amount of time.

eeeeekkkk - come on boldies, we want baby news lol x x x

With my holidays I have 25.5 days left at work spread over 7.5 weeks. You'll probably have given birth by then snoopy!
  • I still have 45 days left at work :(
  • morning all, our weekend in scotland went well, hardly any snow or anything, we didnt manage to find a car because the one we went to look at was way too small, there was no way we would fit the pram in there aswel as 4 kids a dog and all the baby junk that goes with it.

came home sunday night instead of monday morning because we wanted to get home in case the snow really did arrive. then we went car hunting again yesturday. found one but it was 90 miles away, so we phoned the guy and arranged to go and have a look at it, the car was fine, it needs some work done but its mainly cosmetic we thought, paid for the car, paid for it to be taxed then went to fill it up with diesel, £60 later i have wet shoes and trousers, me being me starts to think ohh no my waters have gone, but no it wasnt waters it was the fuel tank. had a big hole in it, so i phoned the man who had sold it to us less than an hr before and kicked up stink, an hr later and a threat of going t the police because he had sold me an unsafe car his mechanic turns up. the tank is now fixed but it took nearly three hours to fix and i was getting more and more hormonal and annoyed in the process.

so we now have a new car, a toyota estima, its huge and theres plenty of baby space, i am going to have to put the carseat in before she arrives because the dog has stolen her chair and i dont want her getting jelous when she arrives and boots her out of the seat.. what a weekend.

Lucy - hope everything goes well today. xx

packed a bit more of the babys hospital bag last night but still need to get a few bits for mine. i bought a 40 wash fairy fabric softener in sainsburys yesterday, they are down to £2 and smells lovely :) i might stock up on a couple more bottles and one more box of powder before baby comes but only if they are still on offer.
i think a few pages back someone asked what was the difference between fairy non bio and other non bios, the main reason i have used fairy non bio on all my kids is because of the smell :D oh and the super soft clothes other non bios are probably just as good though i just tend to stick to what i know!!!

Ooh snoopytweety that's an exciting development, do take it all in your stride hun, you'll get to meet your LO very soon indeed!

Weekend away sounds eventful lovecrafting, I laughed out loud in the office at you thinking your waters had gone, I know it must have been a panicked moment, I wake up in the night having dreamed mine have gone and wake up in a cold sweat! New car sounds great, if you don't mind me asking, I know you're doing dog classes, has your hound been around babies before? We have a wee rescue terrier, taken a lot of work to build his confidence and I'd be grateful of any advice on introducing the baby to my boy!

Laura I feel your pain, 40 days left for me, unless we hear about our funding earlier and we know for sure our project will still be here I might finish with annual leave a little earlier, but it's looking unlikely :(
