Know it's stressful this waiting but sooner or later it will be all over Mozzy, don't know much about sweep other than u need to be in the right condition with your cervix for it to work but up to u whether have it or not. Have u tried the Dtd way of encouragement for bubs to come?;) u possibly would rather have ur toenails pulled buy might be worth a shot Ro xx

Thanks Ro. Haven't tried that one yet haha. I've never felt less woman like/sexy as I do now, so leaving that as a last resort next week lol. Will decide about sweep on the day. Maybe if OH comes with for some support, I might be more up for it. We'll see.

In the meantime, I'll keep hoping for things to happen the natural way, for both me and Sitting!

Morning ladies.

Snoopy, i stil can't believe you're going to queue jump me quite so spectacularly! If I'm 2 weeks late then we'll have gone from being due 4 days apart to having babies 6 weeks apart! I can't imagine them wanting mine to come early seeing as its almost 2lbs smaller than yours!!! That's atleast 2 of you with estimated weights of well over 3lbs and my little monster is still below 2lbs at the same stage!!

Had my 28 weeks check and scan yesterday. The scan was pretty rubbish, baby is head down and had its head tilted back so the girl couldn't get a good enough view to measure it. The abdominal circumference and femur length were ok though, still small but on the same centile as before so ok. I guess I've just got spoiled by having the super duper consulatant doing my scans at the feto-maternal unit that the normal sonographers seem like rank amateurs in comparison!

Also had all the normal checks, BP and urine fine, had my 28 weeks bloods taken and had my anti-d. We were there AGES though! It was time to cook tea by the time we got home and DH was grump as he's not had his afternoon nap which he usually does after being on the early shift so he was like a grumpy 3 year old lol!

We're doing early shift again today so this afternoon will be DH in bed and me laid out on the sofa catching up with the trashy TV he won't watch and probably having a little snooze myself!

Oh and I want to get some pampers nappies for my stash as only have one pack of those and the rest are huggies. has anyone seen any good deals on pampers size 1?

They were £3 a pack in Boots last week when I swapped some, don't know if they still are?

Hope it all goes well for him Lucy. I know how you feel, my Dad is having a biopsy on his bladder this morning, Mum keeps telling me not to worry but I can tell she is too. Fingers crossed it will come back clear, I don't know what I would do if anything happened to him.

Lisa, I agree about the difference in the fetal medicine consultant and normal sonographer doing to scans, why did they get the normal ones to do it this time? Last time our baby was measured (26+6) s/he was just over 1.5lb so I guess our babies will be around the same size. We have our next scan with fetal medicine on 27th. Really looking forward to it and hoping that they will say the echogenic bowel has gone back to normal.
