Where's the pain Rups? It's probably just stretching. I remember reading somewhere that in the majority of women the right side of the uterus moves forward first which is why a lot of people feel more pain on the right side.

Hope everyone is ok this morning.
Just nipping on quickly whilst at work, to say that i asked on the Employment board a couple of days ago about maternity leave and was told to follow this link http://online.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/logicToolStart?itemId=1096855062&r.l1=1073858808&r.l2=1083106843&r.l3=1083116279&r.l4=1096854943&type=BLTTOOL
It's the best, and most personalised link I've tried for working out your SMP, including the 90% of your wages at the very start. Good for people who's wages vary!
Hope its of use to someone else.0 -
You'll feel lots of different pains and niggles as your body and little one grow. I've had sharp pains, period like cramps, poking type pains among others. I know it's hard when you can't feel little one moving, I found the time between my dating scan and my next midwife appointment the hardest of all.
If it were me I would take a couple paracetemol and see if that helps but of course if you are concerned then call your midwife for advice.

thanks for this
i read the letter from HR properly the other day and realised because ihavent been in my company for 5 years, i dont get the full pay for 3 months like i thought.i fall into the 1year-5 year bracket, so i get 6 weeks of full pay, followed bu 15 (or 18 weeks cant remember) half pay. so rubbish. DH was so disappointed.

In my area you don't see the midwife at 16 weeks, it's 18 instead! That was definitely the longest 5 weeks! Once you've had the anomoly scan though things really do seem to fly by

I didn't have a proper 16 week midwife appointment, I had a booking in appointment at 17 weeks, then a consultant appointment at 19 weeks.
Rang the hospital and my scan is tomorrow morning not FridayI can't wait, OH keeps saying what if he's not a boy anymore lol.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
